Chapter 398

Chapter 398 Who Do You Want Me to See?

It was already approaching ten o'clock in the morning, and there were very few people in the lobby of

the clubhouse. Eudora was checking her phone, and she didn't care about the existence of other

people.

After she left, a person walked out from a corner.

That person was Alva.

She looked back at Eudora, who had disappeared, and then at the private elevator, which displayed the

number 1.

The elevator led to the top floor, and it was only for Colbert to use. Besides him, only Corey could come

in and out at will.

But why did Eudora come out from this elevator with a few bags?

Alva's brows were furrowed tightly, and she showed a ruthless expression.

After thinking for a moment, she made a phone call. "Help me check the surveillance in the private

elevator on the west side of the Philomel Club these days immediately to see if a woman has

appeared."

After giving the order, Alva hung up the phone.

The private elevator went up and down slowly. When the elevator opened again, Corey was standing

inside. Seeing Alva, he nodded slightly. "Ms. Baldwin, I've been waiting for a long time."

The anger on Alva's delicate and fair face disappeared in an instant, and she smiled gently. "Thank

you, Corey."

"Anytime."

Corey looked at her meaningfully and asked, "Did you see anyone when you came here just now?"

When Alva came over, he sent a message to Colbert, and Colbert only replied with the word okay, so

Eudora should not be upstairs.

But he knew clearly that Eudora was upstairs last night, so could it be that she had already left?

Did Alva run into Eudora?

Alva's beautiful eyes narrowed slightly, and only for a moment, she looked surprised, but it was so

fleeting that even Corey didn't notice the strangeness.

Her heart skipped a beat, and she couldn't help becoming nervous.

Could it be that Corey knew that Eudora had come to Colbert's apartment?

"No. Who do you want me to see?" She asked, pretending not to understand what he meant.

Corey immediately smiled. "No one. I just wanted to ask if you saw Mr. Steele's secretary, Godfrey, go

out."

Godfrey was a secretary of the Secretary Department of Sinton Group. It was normal for him to have

contact with Colbert.

Corey immediately came up with this excuse.

"No."

Alva stared at Corey without blinking and understood something from the keen perception of guilt in his

eyes.

Ding!

The elevator reached the top floor.

Corey stepped out of the elevator and invited her in. "Ms. Baldwin, go in. Mr. Steele is inside, and I'll go

down first."

He didn't want to be the third wheel to this engaged couple in their private space.novelbin

"Okay. All right."
