Chapter 284

Chapter 284 Hypocritical

"Ms. Stanford, this is the mobile phone Mr. Steele asked me to buy you. The phone card has been

reissued."

Corey, who was driving, handed a mobile phone to Eudora.

She took the phone and said thank you.

She turned on the phone. The phone buzzed and vibrated, irrelevant messages and calls popping up.

When she went to Ford County, she called her adoptive parents and said that she would participate in

charity activities on behalf of the company. She also specifically told them that there was no signal in

Ford County. After all, she was afraid they would be too worried.

Passing by a supermarket, Eudora asked Colbert for money and bought some functional food.

Half an hour later, they arrived at Steele Mansion.

Unexpectedly, just as Eudora got out of the car, Colbert's cell phone rang.

He took out his mobile phone and answered the call, "What's wrong?"

Eudora couldn't hear what the person on the other end of the phone said, but she felt Colbert's face

darken. "Okay, I'll go over right away."novelbin

He hung up the phone and walked up to Eudora. "I have something to deal with temporarily, so you go

in alone, and I won't accompany you."

Somehow, Eudora felt that Colbert was very hypocritical at this moment, but she didn't say anything.

She agreed to be Belinda's god-granddaughter for the sake of the power of the Steele family. He asked

her to curry favor with his grandma just to make her a useful pawn in the future.

The two of them got what they wanted. It was just a deal.

"Okay." Eudora nodded slightly.

Corey took the functional food in his hands. Receiving Colbert's glance, he gave Colbert the car key.

Colbert drove away. Corey accompanied Eudora into Steele Mansion.

In the living room of Steele Mansion, Eudora met Belinda.

"Grandma?"

She greeted Belinda.

Hearing the calling, Belinda looked up at Eudora and immediately smiled. "Oh, Eudora, you are back."

She got up and walked over, standing in front of Eudora with a happy smile. "Come on. Let me see. I

haven't seen you for a month, but you lost much weight."

"It's okay. I'll get fat after mending," Eudora smiled, stepped forward, and hugged Belinda. "Grandma, I

miss you so much."

Although she had the intention of depending on the Steele family's power, Eudora sincerely liked

Belinda.

"Haha, I miss you, too."

Belinda also hugged Eudora. Unaware of her injury, Belinda accidentally touched her wound. Eudora

gasped in pain.
