Chapter 251

Chapter 251 Do You Want to Cooperate?

As they drifted downstream, the river became wider. Although Eudora didn't know what would happen

next, she knew very well that they might be washed into the lake if they couldn't go ashore.

They might even be washed into the sea!

There was a big lake in Ford County, and there was also an ocean hundreds of miles away.

They were headed east when they fell into the water, but the twisting river water made Eudora lose her

sense of direction.

"Do you want to cooperate?"novelbin

Suddenly, the silent masked man spoke.

Perhaps he also sensed the danger was coming.

"Why should I trust you?" Eudora didn't trust the masked man at all.

But she knew clearly that she must cooperate with the masked man. Even if the chance of survival was

slim, she must fight for it.

No matter what the result was, she could only accept it as she had tried.

"If you don't believe me, we're all going to die!" the man said loudly.

Eudora thought, "I don't care. Anyway, I'm not going to die alone."

But she knew the more dangerous the situation would be if she delayed longer.

They had been drifting for so long, and their physical strength was exhausted. If they lost their strength

in the end, they could only die.

"What do you want me to do?" Eudora asked.

The masked man held the trunk with one hand, fumbled inside his clothes with the other, and finally

took out a rope.

It was a hemp rope, as thick as a little finger but very long.

As he kept his back stooped before, the rope was hidden in his front waist, and Eudora couldn't notice

it at all.

He swam towards her little by little and said to her, "Tie the rope around your waist."

Eudora hesitated and said, "Tie yourself first!"

She would no longer trust the masked man and was always on guard.

The masked man didn't say anything. He freed one hand to pinch one end and wrapped it around his

waist, but after half a turn of the arm, he looked at Eudora, intending to ask her to help.

Eudora also freed one hand, took the rope, and helped him tie it around his waist.

Then, the man helped her tie the other end around her waist.

Although one person could save the other by grabbing the object, Eudora still didn't believe in the

masked man.

The two looked forward and found a tree growing obliquely by the river in front, and a section of the

trunk was submerged in the water.
