Chapter 248

Chapter 248 The Masked Man

"The school on the mountain was destroyed by the mudslide. Mr. Davis asked us to inform the people

in Edwin Village immediately."

"I'll be with you."

The masked man offered to come with her.

At that moment, Eudora frowned slightly. She shook her head, refusing, "You have health problems,

and walk slowly. You should rest at home. It will be more convenient for me to go to Edwin Village

alone."

"The households in Edwin Village are scattered. How could you notify them all by yourself?" he

reminded.

It woke Eudora. Finally, she had no choice but to agree. "All right. But be careful. I will go to the east

side of Edwin Village to inform them. You can go to the west side later."

There was no signal in the mountains. People had to notified notify in person if something dangerous

happened. Otherwise, they would face severe consequences.

"Okay."

The masked man nodded slightly.

Holding umbrellas, they headed towards Edwin Village.

Originally, she thought that the masked man would walk very slowly with a cane, but she found no

matter how fast she was, the man could keep up.

She gradually felt something wrong and suddenly became wary of the masked man.

He was complicated.

Boom!

The two quickly walked towards Edwin Village. The heavy rain was pouring down, forming a layer ofnovelbin

water mist. Everything seemed faintly visible.

In front was a canal full of muddy water, surging down and flowing wantonly.

There was a simple wooden bridge on the canal, which was very narrow and could only allow one

person to pass.

Eudora looked at the wooden bridge, hesitated momentarily, then looked back at the masked man and

shouted, "You go. The water under the bridge is flowing swiftly and almost overflowing the bridge deck.

I'll be worried about you being behind."

Her voice was loud, and she feared the masked man couldn't hear her.

Holding the cane and an umbrella, the masked man looked at the rushing water in the canal, causing

splashes to slap the wooden bridge. He nodded, saying, "Okay. I'll go first."

He bypassed Eudora and walked towards the bridge step by step.

Seeing him walk onto the bridge peacefully, and everything was safe and sound, Eudora doubted if she

didn't sleep well recently, so she became suspicious.
