Chapter 147

Chapter 147 Tolerate Her

But now, Eudora had to stay in Kenison City. With the identity of Belinda' surrogate granddaughter, her

adoptive parent would feel at ease.

If not, Eudora didn't want to tell them so much.

She handed the phone to Colbert. "Thank you."

Eudora restrained her smile. Her eyebrows frowned slightly.

Seeing her leaning weakly on the seat and looking out of the window, Colbert suddenly felt a little

distressed for her.

"Although you are Alva's fiancé, I'm not afraid of you telling them about what I said just now."

Eudora was indeed not worried about it.novelbin

Even if Glenn and Yvette were there, she would say that.

Eudora looked at the galloping scene outside the window and sighed.

"I didn't hear anything."

Colbert also leaned on the seat, closed his eyes, and pretended to know nothing.

His reaction was beyond Eudora's expectations. She couldn't help looking at Colbert and said, "You are

Alva's fiancé. It doesn't matter if you tell her about this."

"So, that is why you agreed to be my grandma's surrogate granddaughter, right?"

Colbert opened his eyes. The light in his eyes was gloomy.

Eudora nodded. "Yes."

She boldly admitted. "You can also tell Grandma about this. I don't care."

Initially, she had to keep some things secret. She should not have told Colbert about these things. But

she knew that he would investigate the kidnap before. Otherwise, he would not know that she was on

that cruise ship.

Since he knew all about it, hiding these things from him was unnecessary.

"The matter between you and the Baldwin family does not conflict with my grandma having adopted

you as her surrogate granddaughter," Colbert said.

Eudora didn't say anything. She regarded it as Colbert's filial piety to Belinda, fearing that the truth

would hurt Belinda's heart. It might be why Colbert was willing to hide the fact from Belinda.

"How about you? After all, you are Alva's fiancé."

Eudora stared at Colbert and questioned him.

Colbert glanced at Eudora and said lightly, "As long as you don't cross the line, I can turn a blind eye."

His meaning was straightforward.

It was nothing more than a warning. As long as Eudora didn't make too much trouble and affect the

Steele family's reputation, he would not interfere with her affairs.

Eudora didn't understand what Colbert was thinking but knew he wasn't lying.

It might be because of Belinda's partiality to her, so Colbert was willing to tolerate her.

If Belinda passed away, Colbert might become an enemy of her, just like the Baldwin family.

But those were things for the future. The only thing Eudora could do at present was to make a good

relationship with Belinda to ensure that Colbert would not hurt her.

But Eudora never expected that Colbert would love Alva so much. Even if he knew about the

despicable behaviors of the Baldwin family, he could still turn a deaf ear to these things because he

loved Alva deeply.

Love could make a man lose his principle.
