Chapter 368 My Own Life

Lysanne tentatively asked. “Dr. Thorne, are you going in as well?”

Rina thought Lysander was tired, so she asked, “Lysander, are you tired as well? Would you like me toAdrian for you?”

Lysander shook her head. Hell, I’m not foolish enough to go in there.

Rina said, “Enjoy yourself, then. The sea view is quite stunning. There’s a buffet in the main hall of thecabin. If you get tired, you can rest in the cabin. There are six cabins in total, one of which is a makeuproom. The other five are all available for you to rest in without any disturbance. I might have to go getready now.”

“All right.”

With a playful smile, Rina gave Lysänder a nod before she, surrounded by a group of her friends, headed off to the makeup room in the cabin.

Lysander stood there for a moment before finally asking, “Why haven’t you gone inside yet?”

After Rina and the other girls had left, Lysanne was still on the deck. Lysander waited for a while, butLysanne didn’t make any other move. Hence, Lysander decided to question Lysanne.

Lysanne approached, maintaining a distance of about a meter from Lysander, leaning over the ship’srailing and gazing into the distance. “Your relationship with Adrian is moving along quite swiftly. This isRina’s private wedding today, and she didn’t invite just anyone. The fact that Adrian was willing to bringyou along is no wonder Rina assumed your relationship was something special.”

Actually, from her recent interaction with Rina, Lysander had managed to figure out a few things.

Rina was clearly a free–spirited girl. She held her wedding without a traditional gown, and there wereno elders

present. The attendees were mostly her peers, and the number wasn’t particularly large. It was quiteapparent that it was an intimate gathering for close acquaintances.

Adrian brought her there, perhaps with ulterior motives, but Lysander was in no position to sayanything.

“What’s your relationship with Rina?” Lysander asked.

Lysanne curved her lips into a smile. “She’s my close friend’s wife.”

Lysander understood then and said, “So you’re a close friend of the groom.”

Lysanne didn’t deny it. “That’s right. I was the one who helped him with his divorce proceedings fromhis previous marriage.”

“I sec.”novelbin

Suddenly, Lysanne straightened up and said solemnly, “State your terms.”

“What terms?”

“But you are expatriated from the hospital, aren’t you? All Josiah needs to do is look up the list ofhospital expatriates, and he’ll know which hospital you’re connected with. After that, he’ll comelooking.”

“Where do you want me to go, then? Outer space?” Lysander scoffed. “I don’t have that kind ofcapability at the moment.”

Lysanne was somewhat agitated. “Can’t you go somewhere he wouldn’t be able to find you? Like asmall country that has no connection with your hospital. Surely, he can’t turn the whole world upsidedown to find you, can he?”

Lysander couldn’t help but laugh outright. “Why should I? I have my own life. Why should I suffer theconsequences of your selfish desires?”

Lysanne queried resentfully, “You still want to charm him, don’t you?”

“If I truly wanted to do that, you wouldn’t even get a glimpse of him right now.”

Lysanne was stumped.

“Ms. Lysanne, if you truly wish to rekindle your past relationship with him, please put in the effortinstead of constantly imposing on others. Josiah isn’t in the cabin right now. Rather than wasting yourbreath on me here, you’d better go find him.”

With that, Lysander headed straight toward the direction of the ship’s cabin.

Lysanne quickly stopped her. “Where are you going?”

“Rina just mentioned that there were five cabins.”

Lysanne didn’t respond.

“Are you sure you’re not going to look for him?”

Again, Lysanne kept mum.

“Well, I’m leaving, then. Do as you please.”

Lysander then went to the cabin. It was just as Rina had described. There were six cabins in total, three on cach side.
