Chapter 151

Chapter 151 No Longer Have Children

Perhaps it was because she had never seen Lysander speak so much at once, or maybe it wasbecause she had never seen her in such a hysterical state before, but either way, Daphne was quitetaken aback.

Lysander sighed. “Josiah, let’s just leave it at that. Don’t seek me out anymore and don’t call me either. What’s done is done. If you have regrets, find Lysanne. Whether you want to break up or get married, Idon’t want to be involved in your affairs. I don’t even want to hear a single word about it.”

“Lysanne is no longer able to conceive,” replied Josiah.

Daphne was taken aback. “What?”

“The doctor just informed me. Her injuries this time are far too severe. She won’t be able to havechildren int the future.”

Startled, Daphne lifted her head and glanced at Lysander.

Lysander tightly pressed her lips together, remaining silent.

With a self–deprecating laugh, Josiah said, “You’re right, I brought this upon myself. I apologize fordisturbing you. It won’t happen again. Goodbye, Lysander.”

After hearing the busy tone on the phone, it took quite a while before Lysander finally relaxed.

She slumped onto the couch, unable to regain her composure for a long time.

The surgery Lysanne underwent wasn’t one Lysander had personally handled. She hadn’t inquiredabout the specifics, but it turned out, shockingly, Lysanne couldn’t have children anymore.

It also took Daphne quite a while to regain her composure. That homewrecker is infertile? Didn’t shelose the baby? How could she be infertile?”

Lysander shook her head. “I really don’t know.”

“My goodness, if Josiah marries her, wouldn’t that be the end of his lineage?” Daphne finished, shakingher head. “Impossible. The Guerra family has such a large estate that they definitely need an heir. He’llsurely have to marry again in the future. No matter how much they love each other, he can’t possiblynot want children, right?”

Lysander chuckled softly, not uttering a word. “That is their business.”

When she went to work the next day, she paid a visit to Priscilla.

Priscilla had become even thinner.novelbin

The young lady was already quite slender in her pursuit of beauty. At that moment, she had becomeskin and bones, with her skin taking on a dull yellow hue. There was also a hint of dark circles underher eyes.

Lysander’s appearance delighted Priscilla. “Lysander.”

Lysander adjusted the blanket for her. “How have you been feeling lately?”

Priscilla gave a laugh, though it was more pitiful than a cry. “I’m good.”

Lysander looked at Priscilla in that state, feeling uneasy as well. “Is Harry’s mother still forcing you toundergo a gender verification? Where is he?”

“He’s swamped with work, finding it difficult to spare time for a visit.”

“What about his mother?”

“She returned to her hometown,” Priscilla revealed, lifting her quilt to expose her swollen belly. “Mymother- in–law insisted that the shape of my belly indicated it was a girl. She pressured me toterminate the pregnancy. I refused, leading to a huge argument, after which she left for her hometown.”

“What about Harry? Why didn’t he say anything?”

Priscilla gave a wry smile. “He didn’t dare to come to the hospital. The incident between you and Mrs.Guerra yesterday was too explosive. Mrs. Guerra made Mr. Guerra look like a fool, and since he waspreviously very close with Mrs. Guerra, he’s afraid that Mr. Guerra might vent his anger on him…”

Upon hearing that, Lysander couldn’t help but let out a sarcastic laugh.

Indeed, that was the Harry she knew.

At best he was avoiding danger and being savvy: at worst he was nothing more than a completescoundrel!

Previously, Lysanne had indeed stood up for him. However, when Lysanne was in trouble, he ran fasterthan anyone else!

“Priscilla, do you… want to continue this marriage?” Lysander couldn’t help but ask again, “Living yourwhole life with a man who lacks responsibility, you’ll be faced with endless hardship.”

“What could I

“What could I do? Divorce him? What about our child?” wondered Priscilla.
