Chapter 2621

Chapter 2621 “I’m at the parking lot of the Marine Park!” Rupert Howell’s voice was filled with deep fear. “I’m hiding behind a container… They’re still looking for me. I don’t want to move around too much… “Ms. Johnson’s been taken away! “You need to come quickly…” “Right. Wait for me. I’ll be right there.” Harvey York hastily stood up. After throwing a few paper bills to the waiter, Harvey called a cab and swiftly headed to the Hong KongMarine Park. Not long after Harvey left, a shadow walked out of the street and pulled out a walkie-talkie. “The target fell for our trap…”

*** Around ten minutes later, Harvey arrived at the Marine Park. After paying the fare, he went down theescalator. Soon after, Harvey came to a corner of the park. A few strong, suited men were all dangling their cigars from their mouths while forcing a man into acorner… The suited men were beating up the man with things like steel pipes and baseball bats. Screams of paincould be heard moments after. Not far away from them, a woman dressed in a gown could be seen sitting cross-legged on the hood of aJeep Wrangler. She was in excellent shape. Her posture was upright while a cold gaze could be seen on her face. She was twirling the gun around her finger, as if she was some sharpshooter. Her cold gaze shifted toward Harvey after seeing him walk forward. She seemed a little perplexed for amoment before a fierce look replaced her expression.novelbin

She pointed her firearm right at Harvey’s head before shooing him away. Harvey could not help butchuckle at the woman trying to intimidate him. Did they really think that Harvey could not see throughtheir bluff?

He only showed up here to see who was trying to play tricks on him. Ignoring the woman in a gown, Harvey walked forward before finally seeing Rupert, who was completelybeaten up in the corner. His face was swollen with bruises all over. Blood was trickling all over his cracked head. There was noway to tell that he was a rich heir at that time. The suit he was wearing looked tattered. A foul stench could even be smelled wafting from himoccasionally. The suited men chuckled wretchedly while hearing Rupert’s cries. “Not bad! Not bad! Your screams sound really nice! “You’re pretty bold, trying to save the damsel in distress like that! “You must have a death wish or something! “Say, if I sent a picture of your sorry state to that b*tch, Irene Johnson, do you think she’s going to care?! “I don’t think she would! “After all, a sweet talker like you won’t be able to get anything in the end anyway!” The strong man leading the group made a gesture while he was talking before hitting Rupert in the headwith a baseball bat. Rupert wailed in pain while blood was mixed with his tears. He fell to the ground, unconscious soon after. Harvey squinted at the sight for a moment. “Alright. That’s enough. Stop right there,” said Harvey calmly. Rupert’s body trembled after hearing Harvey’s voice while showing a thankful look on his face. “Sir York…” he muttered instinctively.

Judging by how he looked, he probably was not involved with the scheme.
