Chapter 242

“Sweetheart, they’re your classmates. Really, you’re all like a family. Why should you argue somuch with them? You’ll look stingy.” Jamie, who was standing quietly at the back, stepped forwardto hug Nia.

At the same time, he sized Mandy up and was filled with astonishment. Nia was not less thanMandy in terms of beauty and figure. The most important thing was that Nia was very promiscuous, but her temperament wasn’t very good.

Mandy was exceptional in terms of beauty and disposition. Unfortunately, she was married to aworthless piece of trash and got herself a live-in husband. For an outstanding woman like her, it wassuch a waste!

Harvey parked the car nicely and then walked towards them.

Mandy smiled and held his hand, and introduced him to the rest. “This is my husband. I’m sureeveryone knows his name, so I won’t dwell on that.”

The marriage between Harvey and Mandy was a well known fact for everybody in Niumhi. Mandy’sclassmates knew he was the legendary live-in son-in-law, Harvey.Contents belong to NovelDrama.Org

They shot Harvey disdainful glares tinged with slight envy.

He may be condemned as a worthless trash, but it was worth it as he could be with such anexceptional woman.

In fact, most of the male classmates present once had a secret crush on Mandy. Some of themeven tried to gain her affection before.

“He’s quite good-looking. Why is he so worthless?”

“Who knows? Maybe a person with looks like this is destined to be a kept man!”

“That appearance is wasted on you!”

“If I ever get rich, it’s not bad to get myself a kept man!”

Harvey ignored their words. He gave a curt nod and said, “Everyone, nice to meet you.”

“So you’re the legendary live-in son-in-law. You’re much better than the rumors say. I noticed thisafter I met you, but you really do have the qualities of a kept man.” Jamie said, narrowing his eyes. Before, Nia had asked him to put down Mandy viciously. Right now, he was more than happy to doso.

Harvey looked up, glancing at Jamie. He said quietly, “Didn’t your uncle tell you that one should behumble in life?”

Jamie burst into vehement laughter. “I didn’t think you’d know my uncle. Not bad. You do have someinsights. My uncle always keeps a high profile and said we shouldn’t be so humble. If we are, what’sthe difference between us and worthless trash?”

Harvey frowned. He wanted to say something else, but Mandy gave him a look. It was theirgathering day. If they argued with each other there and then, everyone would be annoyed andembarrassed.

Noticing Mandy’s behavior, Nia smirked inwardly. ‘This school beauty queen is only capable of thismuch. Never mind, it’s still early. I’ve got a lot of chances to humiliate her later. I don’t have to be soimpatient.’

“Everyone, please. My hubby reserved the biggest private room here for our gathering. Let’s allhave some tea and talk about the good old days.” Nia said elegantly, smiling.

There were only three large halls in Hot Spring Villa. The other rooms were quite small, and theyweren’t very presentable. As rumors had it, people without influential backgrounds wouldn’t haveany way to reserve a large hall in the villa. From a certain aspect, Jamie’s uncle Kane treated himquite nicely.

When they reached the hall, they saw that it was equipped with many things. There was an area forhaving tea, along with entertainment facilities such as snooker, card game tables, and a jukebox. Atthe center, a piano sat on a raised platform.

When Mandy saw the piano, her facial expression changed. She had learned piano since she wasyoung. After she started working, she was so busy that she had no time to play.

For most women, a man who could play the piano was quite mysterious and charming.

Standing at her side, Harvey said nothing when he saw Mandy’s facial expression.

It was Cecilia who said coldly, “What are you looking at? Back when Mandy graduated, her dreamwas to become a pianist. She could go to Europe to further her study. Unfortunately, she married aworthless trash like you right after she finished her studies.”

Saying so, Cecilia looked regretful. Mandy was quite talented in piano. If it wasn’t for Harvey, shemight have been able to make some achievements in the arts.

As they conversed, they saw Jamie walk toward the piano. He sat down elegantly, and began toplay the piano.

They could hear the melodious sound of the piano, pleasant to the ears.

Harvey frowned. He had learned how to play piano since young as well. As he listened, he sensedsomething odd. The sound of the piano was rather electronic, as if someone was playing a musicrecording

Yet, how many of the people present truly understood music and the arts?

Many of the women grew excited as they looked at Jamie’s back.

“Oh gosh! Nia, surprisingly, your husband knows how to play piano! You’re really a lovely couple!”

“That’s right. Your husband is amazing. Where did you find yourself such an excellent partner?”

“If my husband is half as good as yours, I’ll be tremendously overjoyed!”

Previously, the women were jealous of Jamie’s wealth. Now, they were envious of his talent. Nia didindeed lead a wonderful life with such an excellent husband.

By comparison, Mandy was rather pitiful. Her husband’s clothes didn’t look like they cost more thanfifteen dollars! What of the piano? Clearly, someone like him knew nothing about such an elegantart.
