Wyatt fell into silence. He knew perfectly well that his face was still slightly swollen. How could hehave the capability to let the restaurant make an exception?
But it was the goddess from his university life—Mandy who stood before him now. Since Mandythought that he was the one who helped them, he did not have to give an explanation for that. Hewould just treat that as some kind of beautiful misunderstanding.
“Two goddesses, please, this way. We’ve arranged the biggest VIP private room here in Northlandfor you. Some random live-in son-in-law please don’t come in then. I’m afraid that you’re unable toafford to spend here.” Wyatt smiled faintly and said in a gentlemanly manner.
Harvey glanced at Wyatt and said coldly, “Mr. Johnson, are you sure that you’re the one who got toarrange for that private room?”
“If it’s not me, could it be a loser like you?” Wyatt smiled coldly and said.
“Harvey!” Mandy said seriously beside them, “Mr. Johnson is so kind as to get a private room for us.Don’t talk nonsense here… Besides, Wyatt, you’re my former classmate, and I’m truly grateful toyou for helping us to arrange for the private room. But Harvey is my husband. If he can’t get into therestaurant, I won’t go in either.”
Wyatt was stunned for a short while. Soon he smiled and said in a gentlemanly manner, “What areyou talking about, Mandy? I was just joking with him!”
