Chapter 2426

Chapter 2426

While Scarlett was looking forward to meeting Vince, Fabian had already gone through the HamiltonResidence with Harvey for quite some time.

Harvey’s expression grew a touch colder when they arrived at the Hamiltons’ ancestral hall.

He made a gesture, motioning Fabian to let the others leave and only let a trustworthy person staybehind.

Fabian didn’t know Harvey’s intentions, but he did as told and instructed others to leave. He only lets thebutler, Zummo, stay by his side.

Zummo was an old man aged more than sixty years old, but he was energetic and looked calm all theway through. It seemed he had once been to the battlefield in his youth.

LILL

“Young Master York. This is the Hamilton Residence’s butler, Zummo.”

“He grew up with me and went through many things with me. I trust him more than my sons.”

Fabian introduced Zummo to Harvey. His words were casual, but it was enough to prove Zummo’ s highstanding within the family.

“If you need to do something dangerous, then just tell him. He’s willing to die for me.”

Zummo remained coolly stoic as he gave Harvey a curt nod.

Although he didn’t speak, Harvey could understand that Zummo was a taciturn type. Thus, he wasn’t aman of many words.

If someone wanted to hurt Fabian, Zummo would probably be the first to rush forward and protectFabian.

“Good. I told you to let a trustworthy person stay behind because I hope he can protect you.”

“The thing is, I might not be able to do so later on.”

Harvey motioned for Fabian and Zummo t stand at the central courtyard of the ancestral hall, where thesun could shine. “No matter what happens later, you mustn’t leave this area. You must stand in a placewhere the sun can shine.”

Harvey’s cautious expression made Fabian frown slightly. “Young Master York, what does this mean?»

“What are you going to do?”

“Could this have anything to do with what the Hamiltons are experiencing now?”

Harvey didn’t explain and flicked his finger

instead. A stone flew out from his palm, instantly hitting on the plaques in the hall.

The neatly arranged plaques all fell to the ground.

At this, Fabian’s face became grim and Zummo subconsciously stepped forward to stop Harvey.

Harvey was trampling on the Hamiltons’ dignity by destroying the plaques of their ancestors, and in frontof Fabian to boot!

But before Fabian could speak, the plaques that had already fallen suddenly jumped violently.

Several plaques flew out, heading towards Fabian and Zummo’s direction.

Bang, bang, bang!

Harvey quickly smashed all of them, turning the flying plaques into powder before they could reachFabian and Zummo.

Zummo’s expression changed. He carried out several moves and hit the plaques as well,

mimicking Harvey.

Suddenly, there was an eerie sound of a baby bawling its heart out. All the plaques that had just landedvibrated slightly before returning to their original places on the wall.

Had it not been for the reduced amount of plaques, everyone would’ve assumed what they had just seenas a mere trick of the light.

Just then, a faint yin energy burst forth from the front.

Harvey took a step forward and instantly let out the murderous aura he had honed on the battlefield formany years.novelbin

Sssst…

An unpleasant sound, like an ice cube coming in

touch with smoldering hot iron, hissed in the air. The diffused yin dissipated at a speed visible to thenaked eye.

The eerie baby’s cry gradually disappeared, and soon, silence took over. Everything that had justhappened seemed like an illusion.

“What is this…”

After all this was over, Fabian took in his surroundings with a stare of abject horror. The events that hadunfold moments ago were beyond his understanding.
