Chapter 769 You Have To Compensate Me

Chapter 769 You Have to Compensate Me

"Where are you going?"

Jane was about to take off her clothes when she heard Louis' low, cold questioning voice.

She was startled and turned around to see Louis staring at her coldly.

The look made Jane uneasy, especially when she remembered his many reminders and instructionstoday.

He was good to her, but she had no choice.

Vivian was waiting for her in the hospital. She could have ignored it before, but after Vivian's call, she couldn't ignore it anymore.

Such a small, sensitive child like Vivian would be scared if she had nightmares alone withoutanyone by her side.

"I'm going to the hospital, Louis. I remember everything you told me earlier, but I just received a callfrom Vivian. She needs surgery and can't be alone."

Jane's face showed a worried expression and even her tone was very concerned.

In fact, from the moment Louis saw that Jane had prepared herself to change the clothes, he knewthat Jane was going out to find that child.

He wasn't happy about it.

But seeing Jane like this softened his heart again.

She belonged to him. From the moment he saw her again, he was sure that no matter whathappened, he would keep her firmly by his side.

He also promised to fulfill all of her requests.

At present though, he could only restrain his emotions.

"You didn't eat much dinner and now it's so late with no servants around. How will you get there?"

Louis' eyes were full of concern for Jane.

"I... I'll take a taxi!" What else could she do?

She couldn't possibly ask Louis to drive her over there!

"It worries me if you're taking taxis so late at night. As your husband, if you need anything, you canalways come find me. I'll take you there together." As soon as he finished speaking, Louis walkedinto the cloakroom.

Jane didn't want to trouble him any further. Thinking of that, she chased after him and called out hisname.

But Louis had begun taking off his clothes inside the cloakroom.

His sturdy yet well-proportioned naked body startled Jane immediately, causing her to turn aroundand cover up her eyes.

"Can you put on your clothes please?"

Jane's breathing became unsteady.

"Right away." Louis moved quickly; in no time at all , he stood in front of Jane with open arms,"Button my shirt."

What else could Jane do? She could only do as she was told.

Since they got so close to each other, she saw Louis's Adam's apple and the scene from earlierflashed through her mind again. Her face burned and she felt awkward. She had to hold herselftogether while helping him with his clothes.

"Jane, a lot of things between us are clear, right?" Louis asked.

"Yes," Jane replied, confused by his question.

The next second, Louis immediately followed up with another question, "So how should wecalculate my loss tonight?"

Jane was at a loss. How was she supposed to know how to calculate his loss? He didn't really haveany losses anyway. He hadn't given her any money. All he had given were tips and what she earnedherself.

"It doesn't matter. You can think about it slowly. I'm not in a hurry," said Louis slowly with a deepsmile on his mouth.

Hearing this made Jane want to hit him. What did he mean by "think about it slowly"?

"If you pay me for something I haven't done yet, then that's your loss. But nothing has started yet,"Jane felt like it was necessary to clarify things.

"But isn't that still my loss? My wedding night..." said Louis sadly.

"Louis, I will talk to Vivian today and make everything clear for you, so don't worry about it toomuch." To prevent the topic from dragging on forever, Jane quickly interrupted him.

Louis understood what Jane was thinking, but he still said mischievously, "But you have tocompensate me according to the rule - double compensation."

Louis understood what Jane was thinking but when he thought about it himself, he couldn't help butfeel happy, "Hmm? Double compensation? How do you want me to compensate?"

Jane became confused by what he meant, "What do you mean by double compensation?"

Louis smiled slyly. "Since you owed me tonight, then compensate me tomorrow night and even aftertomorrow night..."novelbin

When Louis spoke those words out loud, Jane finally understood what he meant. "So your meaningis that I'll be compensating two nights for free?"

Businessmen are so cunning!

"I'll still give you the money, but it will take two nights. Fair exchange is no robbery, right?" Louisraised his eyebrows as he spoke.

The blue eyes are particularly tender and shining under the light, sparkling like diamonds.

Jane observed the smile that lingered on his lips, especially the one at the corner.

How can this man be so good-looking?

She can't get angry when such a handsome man proposed such demands.

But! She has not forgotten the focus of the problem.

One night, that's over ten hours, let alone two nights.

"We need to have an agreement! I am only responsible for completing what you say, and Iabsolutely will not do any other services!" Jane's eyes were full of caution at this moment.

"Um." Louis nodded, and Jane was very satisfied.

After changing their clothes, the two of them set off for the hospital together.

But when Jane pushed open the door to the hospital room, she was stunned.

The ward was empty and Vivian was nowhere to be found. Even the instruments that normallyoperated were all turned off at this moment!

"Vivian, Vivian!"

How could Jane remain calm?

She was like a wild beast out of control, crazily running around the ward, searching for Vivian'sfigure.

Vivian was not in the restroom or hallway.

Jane was in a state of panic as she grabbed her hair and rushed out to find a nurse. There was noone around late at night, and Vivian's disappearance must have something to do with the nurse.

However, Louis noticed the most important thing - the blanket was uncovered.

He took a step forward and reached out his hand, feeling the residual warmth.

"Vivian has just left. Maybe she got tired of being alone in the ward and went out for a walk?" Louisheld onto Jane, trying to calm her down.

This sentence did have an effect.

Jane calmed down and said, "Didn't you find a caregiver? Where is her phone number? Quickly callthe caregiver!"

Jane urged Louis, who she had previously respected, but at the moment was clearly impatient andout of control.

The importance of this child to Jane is crystal clear.

Louis had thought of calling the caregiver. But just now he tried to calm down Jane first.

Seeing Jane's impatience, Louis no longer procrastinated.

However, the caregiver did not answer the phone call.

Seeing Louis preparing to make a second call, Jane finally burst out, "Why bother calling again?Vivian must have had an accident!"
