The thing Jane feared most was the sudden silence that descended upon them. She panicked.
Although she had only known Louis for a short time, he had always been responsive and quick toreply whenever they interacted. But now, this silence - was it real?
"No," Louis said, his tightly pursed lips parted as he spoke slowly.
