After several judges carefully evaluated the contestants, the results were announced half an hourlater.
When Mia found out she had won first place, she almost jumped up in excitement.
However, she didn't forget her disguise and after receiving the award, she went to Anna and shovedthe trophy and $100, 000 prize money into her arms with a guilty expression.
Anna looked at the money and trophy in her arms with confusion in her sparkling eyes. Before shecould say anything, Mia's voice filled her ears with guilt.
"Anna, I'm sorry. You should have been the one to receive these."
After hearing Mia's apology, Anna couldn't help but feel amused. She slightly raised her red lips andsmiled gently.
She returned everything back to Mia and said with sincerity, "You achieved today's success throughyour own hard work. As for me getting second place, I'm already content enough that I receivedrecognition from the judges."

"But..." Mia sighed deeply. "If your throat wasn't acting up today, then you would have definitelystood on top of that podium instead of me! What happened? Why did your throat suddenly becomeso hoarse?"
Mia glanced over at Jimmy and Bryce who were about to leave before raising her voice full ofconcern as if trying to catch their attention.
Upon hearing what Mia said, both Jimmy and Bryce stopped in their tracks and their eyes met in themid air.
A scheming smile flashed across Mia's eyes.
It's about time for Charlee, this idiot, to pay for her foolish behavior. Otherwise, I would be the onebeing schemed against by her in the future.
Mia once again placed the prize money back into Anna's hands, saying, "I know your father ishospitalized right now and needing money urgently. Although this amount isn't much, it should beable to support him for some days."
Mia's words warmed Anna's heart, making it difficult for her to refuse.
"I'll take it as what I owe you. I'll find more part-time jobs soon so that I can return it as soon aspossible."
Mia nodded.
"Don't tire yourself out too much, otherwise it will affect your training. We're good friends, and I lookforward to holding hands with you and making a big name in the showbiz."
Anna's eyes narrowed slightly.
With all the debt she had, did she even have a chance?
Thinking of Jimmy, her biggest creditor, a hint of helplessness appeared on her face.
Out of the corner of Mia's eye, she saw Jimmy walking over with Bryce. An evil plan flashed throughher mind in an instant.
Especially when Charlee and several other trainees walked over together, she became even morecertain about this plan.
"Anna, you haven't answered my question. Why did your voice suddenly become hoarse?" Miaasked again while giving Charlee a meaningful glance.
Anna shrugged lightly. "It's all in the past now. I don't want to talk about it anymore. I still need to govisit my dad at the hospital so I'm leaving now."
But Mia firmly grabbed Anna's hand before she could leave.
"Anna, you can't be too kind-hearted or else people will take advantage of you in the future," Miasuddenly shouted loudly enough for everyone to hear.
Jimmy and Bryce exchanged glances before walking towards them with understanding looks ontheir faces.
Charlee, you idiot, I'll get rid of you today!
A malicious calculation flashed across Mia's eyes as she thought of this.
When Anna saw Jimmy approaching her, complicated emotions filled her heart...
Taking a deep breath, Anna came up to him eventually, her clear eyes falling upon him. "Thank youonce again for helping me."
Upon hearing Anna's still somewhat hoarse voice, Jimmy's eyes darkened...
Seeing these two lock eyes onto each other, Mia was extremely jealous.
"Mr. Harrison... Bryce... I suspect that someone intentionally caused Anna's voice like this," saidMia.

Jimmy's dark gaze gradually turned cold...
"Mia, don't talk nonsense! It might just be because I ate something bad which caused my throatproblems but since competition is over and my throat will recover, there is no need to pursue it."

"It's impossible. I know better than anyone how you protect your throat. How could you possibly eatsomething that would harm it? Did you drink something?" Mia said intentionally, with suggestivewords that made Charlee, who was standing nearby, turn pale and weak in the knees.
Anna thought of the pear juice she had drunk before and her almond eyes subconsciously glancedat Charlee.
When Charlee felt Anna's probing gaze on her, her face turned even paler and she couldn't meetAnna's eyes.
"Anna, come on. You don't have to be afraid with Mr. Harrison and Bryce here," Mia urged whilewaiting for Anna to say Charlee's name so she could get rid of her through Anna.
But after waiting for a while, Anna remained silent.
Jimmy walked directly up to Anna with his lips tightly pursed and his deep-set eyes showing a hintof coldness. His powerful aura made Anna feel somewhat flustered.
"Have you ever drunk anything that would irritate your throat?" Jimmy asked directly without beatingaround the bush.
Should she answer him?
Should she tell him about the pear juice that might have been problematic?
Anna glanced briefly at Charlee and clearly saw fear and pleading in her eyes.
"Come on, Anna. Just tell us who hurt you. Mr. Harrison will take care of it," Mia urged impatientlyas if wanting to use this opportunity to get rid of Charlee once and for all since she might causetrouble later on.
Jimmy's low-pitched voice sounded again, "Tell me what you drank."
Taking a deep breath under everyone's gaze, Anna shook her head. "It was just a slight cold."
Upon hearing this reply from Anna, Mia clenched both hands tightly together while Charlee who hadprepared herself for punishment from Jimmy was completely stunned.
Jimmy's eyes flickered slightly; he knew very well that Anna was trying to hide something.
