Chapter 142

“Chapter 142

Flash Marriage He Made My Jaw Drop

Marian had always wanted to get rid of Eve, her family was just average, and raising another outsider

was just an extra burden, and she must feel uncomfortable.

She was not a saint, just an ordinary woman.

When she gave birth to her youngest son, she asked Simon to send Eve back to the orphanage, but

they no longer accepted

her.

There was this rule when it was first adopted.

Marian and Simon were Eve’s guardians, so Eve was not an orphan anymore, so they mustn’t throw

her away, otherwise they would constitute a crime of abandonment.

Marian also deliberately took Eve to crowded stations several times, trying to abandon her, but Simon

finally found her back.

Marian was very angry. There were so many human traffickers abducting children every year, why no

one abducted Eve.

Damien gave Marian a sharp look, and then asked Eve softly, “Would you like to go home with me?”

Eve didn’t speak, she was full of tears and looked in Marian’s direction.

She still didn’t understand why her mother didn’t want her.

Marian gave Eve a fierce look, and cursed, “Da mn girl, go with this man quickly, and don’t come back

anymore.”

Eve trembled in fright, and her eyes timidly avoided Marian and curled up in Damien’s arms.

At this moment, Marian’s youngest son burst into tears, so Marian didn’t have the mood to care about

Eve, and sarcastically said to Damien, “Hurry up and take this da mn girl away, since you like to

meddle in other’s business, so I’ll let you raise her. If you really support her and send her to school,

then I really admire you.”

In Marian’s view, raising other people’s children was the behavior of a fool.

If it wasn’t because she hadn’t been pregnant and the witch said she needed to adopt one, she

wouldn’t have adopted Eve back.

Marian went to the room to hold her youngest son and didn’t care about Eve at all.

It was the first time Damien saw such a cold-blooded and hard-hearted woman, he hugged Eve, “Come

home with me.”

Damien didn’t know if he would meddle in other children’s business, but looking at Eve in front of him,

he couldn’t just leave her in danger.

Damien took Eve back, wiped Eve’s tears, and checked Eve’s injuries.

Her body was covered with red streaks from the duster, and some wounds were swollen.

Damien frowned, found the medicine box, and treated Eve’s injuries.

Although Eve was just five years old, she was not as delicate as other children of the same age.

Damien disinfected Eve’s wound. It hurt so much but Eve could bear it and make no

sound.

The stronger Eve was, the more uncomfortable Damien felt.

As soon as the wounds were treated, Vivienne came back. Seeing that Eve was still at home, she

asked Damien, “Didn’t you send Eve back?”

Damien gave Eve some fruit from the kitchen, “Eve has been beaten again, so I brought her back.”

Hearing this, Vivienne put down her bag nervously, checked Eve’s injuries, and turned to look at

Damien, “Marian did that?”novelbin

This was too cruel, it seemed that Marian wanted to beat her

to death, how could she do that to such a small kid?

“Yes.” Damien sat down on the sofa and said, “Vivienne, do you mind Eve staying with us for a few

days?”

“Not at all.” Vivienne held Eve in her arms and said, “I wish Eve can live here with us.”

Vivienne was also a soft-hearted person. If she didn’t know what happened to Eve, she wouldn’t do

anything. But knowing that Eve was abused by Marian and the CPS couldn’t improve her life, she felt

sorry for her and wanted to do something to help her.

Damien nodded, “It’s late, Vivienne, take Eve to rest first.”

Going to bed early was conducive to children’s growth.

Eve was a girl, so it was not suitable for Damien to accompany and coax her to sleep.
