Chater 874

Chapter 874

Charlie flicked on the light and strode over, noticing that there were arleady three or four empty liquor

bottles on the table.

He frowned, reaching over to snatch the drink from Jonathan’s hand, “what’s wrong?”

Jonathan’s eyes were already a little drunk, but there was no expression on his face. When the wine

glass was taken away, he went to pour wine from other glasses. Charlie took a seat across from him,

“What’s your deal? Last time I saw you pounding back drinks like this was when you and Estelle were

at odds. What’s the issue now? Where’s Estelle?”

Jonathan poured himself another drink, “Less yapping, more drinking. If you’re not drinking, buzz off.”

Charlie looked at him curiously, “Is this drunken mess because of Estelle? Did you guys have a fight?”novelbin

He laughed mockingly, “If you guys fought, just go make up. Booze won’t solve anything. Estelle’s not

unreasonable. You…”

Jonathan downed half his drink, his voice low and gruff, “We broke up!”

Charlie froze, eyes wide withi disbelief, “You broke up with Estelle? I can’t believe it! Did she dump

you?”

Jonathan didn’t respond, eyes downcast.

The door to the room swung open, and Yvonne and Josiah James walked in.

Seeing the pile of bottle’s in front of Jonathan, Yvonne frowned, “Why are you drinking this much?”

Josiah was surprised too, “Did Jonathan drink all this himself?”

“What do you think?” Charlie scoffed, “He was like this when I walked in.”

“What happened?” Yvonne asked.

Charlie shrugged, “He got dumped!”

Yvonne blinked, exchanging a glance with Josiah, a thrill of joy coursing through her.

All her effort hadn’t gone to waste. Jonathan had finally broken up with Estelle. Even though she’d

expected it, she couldn’t help but feel a rush of excitement seeing it play out.

Josiah smirked too, confident in his victory over Estelle.

Yvonne let out a sigh of relief, her face impassive. She sat next to Jonathan, “It’s okay to be upset after

a breakup. I’ll hang out with him. You guys go have

fun.”

“How can we party with him like this?” Charlie sighed, “Come on, let’s all keep him company. Let’s get

wasted tonight!”

“No need. Just leave me alone for a bit. You guys go do your thing.” Jonathan poured himself another

drink, his voice deep and steady.

Yvonne gave Charlie a knowing look, “You guys go. I’ll stay with him.”

Charlie nodded, leaving with the others.

Yvonne poured two drinks, handing one to Jonathan, “I’m here whether you’re happy or upset.”

With that, she downed her drink.

By the time they left the Midnight Bar, Jonathan was clearly drunk. He walked steadily but his eyes

were unfocused, lacking their usual clarity.

When it was time to head home, Yvonne got into the car with Jonathan. Charlie blocked the car door,

pretending to be casual, “It’s late, Yvonne. You should head home. I’ll take Jonathan.”
