Chapter 868

Craig added Gwen on a side account for work reasons. One day, while he had some downtime, he

noticed a photo Gwen had posted at midnight the night before from a certain banquet.

She looked absolutely stunning in the selfie. The background was a lavish banquet hall in some hotel.

There was a tall man standing behind her who looked vaguely familiar.

Craig saved the photo, zoomed in, and took a good look at the guy. He thought the guy looked like

Jonathan.

But just a couple of days ago, when the weather was bad and Estelle came to the set, Gwen asked her

if Mr. Lamont would be picking her up. Estelle said Jonathan was on a business trip and wouldn’t be

back for about a week.

If Jonathan was away on business, then how could he be in Gwen’s photo?

Craig thought about it and decided to ask Gwen.

During a break, he pulled Gwen aside, showed her the photo and asked, “Is this Mr. Lamont?”

Gwen said, “Maybe, huh?“What do you mean maybe?” Craig frowned, “Weren’t you at this charity

banquet too? Did you see Mr. Lamont or not?”

“I….” Gwen hesitated. Under Craig’s relentless questioning, she finally admitted, “Yes, I saw him. It was

Mr. Lamont.”

“But didn’t Estelle say he was on a business trip?” Craig asked quickly.novelbin

“Shh!” Gwen signaled him to lower his voice and asked, “Is Estelle here today?”

“No, she’s not. She didn’t have work today, so she didn’t come. If you have anything to say, just say it!”

Craig said impatiently.

Gwen shrugged and said, “Indeed, I saw President Lamont last night. It was a surprise. He even

brought a date, and it wasn’t Estelle:

Realization hit Craig. He scowled, “Mr. Lamont, how could he do this?”

“Isn’t that just how rich folks operate?” Gwen scoffed, They get bored, want a new girlfriend but don’t

want the hassle, so they lie and give the cold shoulder. But. they’ve actually already found new lovers.”

Craig looked pissed, taking up for Estelle. “If he’s not into her anymore, he should just break up with

her. Lying is a moral issue!!

Gwen glanced at Craig, “You’ve dealt with these types too. You should know this is just the games rich

people like to play!”

“We should tell Estelle. She shouldn’t be kept in the dark!” Craig said.

“I still don’t want it “Gwen hesitated, “What if there’s a misunderstanding? It’s not uncommon for a man

like President Lamont to attend social events with a female companion. If we go to Estelle with this, it

might look like we’re stirring up trouble.

“So we just let Estelle be deceived?”

“Will not!” Gwen laughed, “Estelle is smart. She won’t be fooled forever. Let’s wait and see. If we find

out President Lamont is really doing her wrong, then we’ll tell her.”

Craig was fuming and didn’t say a word.

Gwen sighed, “I used to be so envious of Estelle. But now, it seems all men are the same.

Craig glared at her, “Estelle is a perfect example. Don’t always think about finding those rich men as

boy friends. You should find someone who’s on your level. It’s safer that way.”

Gwen lowered her head and laughed awkwardly, “I know.”

Someone called Craig away to work, leaving Gwen alone.

The truth was Jonathan didn’t bring a date to the party last night: He just made a quick appearance and

left.

When she got home, she tried adding Jonathan on WhatsApp with her side account, but he declined

her request.

But she wouldn’t give up that easily. She’d keep trying until he accepted her.

Because she knew Jonathan and Estelle were breaking up soon. Even though Jonathan didn’t have a

new woman by his side, it is true that he cheated on Estelle.

That meant there were already problems between them.
