Chater 863

Chapter 863

When he drove to the Royal Mansion, it was close to one in the afternoon.

Just as he was about to get out of the car and walk in, a Mercedes pulled up at the entrance of the

Royal Mansion, and Estelle was stepping out of the car. Jonathan parked and just stared coldly across.

At the entrance of the Royal Mansion, Estelle got out of the car and bid Jason goodbye.

There was nothing going on at the set today, so she’d gone to the studio and Jason was there too.

Jason told her that she had been invited to an international fashion show in Milan. So, they went out to

grab a bite, and while eating, they discussed the fashion show.

After the meal, Jason drove her back to the Royal Mansion, the wind was quite strong today. Jason

took off his black windbreaker that was in the car and casually draped it over Estelle, “Next time,

remember to dress warmer!”

“I’m not afraid of coldness,” Estelle responded with a faint smile.

“Alright, go on in,” Jason patted her head, got back into his car, and drove off quickly and left.

Jonathan sat in his car, watching their intimate interaction. His gaze grew colder, as if a cold wind had

passed, freezing the air into ice.

How could he believe that this was a normal boss–employee relationship?

Yvonne was right, how long was he going to keep fooling himself?

After Estelle said goodbye to Jason, she heard someone call out, “Sister!”

“Sister!”

Upon hearing it, Estelle instinctively tensed up and quickly turned around.

Victor ran over, excitedly saying, “Sister, it’s me Victor. Do you remember me?”

Estelle looked at the person in front of her blankly, the boy’s appearance overlapped with his image

from their childhood, “You are… Victor!”novelbin

“Yes, I’m Victor!” Victor smiled broadly, “Sister, you remember me!”

Estelle looked at him coldly, “What are you doing here?”

“Sister, I came to find you!” Victor said excitedly, “Life has been tough for me these years. After you

were taken away, I was always bullied and often went hungry. I finally escaped from the orphanage.

Over the years, I’ve done all sorts of jobs, I’ve been a beggar, a dishwasher, and even a coal miner. But

I’ve always been looking for you, and today, I finally found you!”

Estelle asked calmly, “How did you know I live here?”

“I saw someone who looked like you on the subway the other day. I followed you and I’ve been waiting

here for two days.” Victor grinned.

He looked into the compound, “Your current place looks really fancy. Sister, are you rich?”

“It’s a rental!” Estelle said, “I’m not your sister. You don’t have to look for me, just go!”

“Sister, you can’t be so heartless!” Victor followed her, “Our parents died long ago. We’re the only

family we have left: Remember when our mother wouldn’t let you eat, I would sneak food to you. Have

you forgotten?”

Estelle’s footsteps stopped suddenly, she didn’t forget. How could she forget?

Some kids don’t remember anything before the age of three, but she remembered very clearly!

When she was three, Victor had secretly given her a piece of biscuit, and then told their adoptive

mother that she had stolen his biscuit. The mother beat her severely, pulled her mouth and scolded her

for being greedy. Victor just stood by and snickered..

Afterward, the mother made her stand in the courtyard as punishment. It was a cold winter day. The

water had frozen. She stood in the courtyard in her tattered clothes from afternoon till night, her whole

body numb from the cold.

Victor brought out some leftover food and told her that if she wanted to eat, she had to crawl on the

ground and bark like a dog.
