Chapter 553

Chapter 553

Xavier grabbed a stool

and sat at the entrance, basking in the sun. With a beard covering his face and a rugged demeanor, he

made everyone who glanced at their direction hurry away. No one dared to come in for a meal.

They were all sincerely running the business, while Xavier treated it like a retirement home.

“Sir, would you mind moving to another spot to enjoy the sun?” Damian asked with a coaxing tone, as if

trying to reason with the elder.

Xavier opened his eyes and said coldly, “I am sitting right here. I’m keeping an eye on

Grillin‘ & Chillin‘. Who would dare to cause trouble?”

Zachary laughed and

walked over to Xavier, “Yeah, the folks from the barbecue town won’t dare to come here, but neither will

the customers, huh?”

Xavier frowned, “What does it have to do with customers?”

Damian laughed, “Who would dare to come in here with you like this?”

Xavier touched his face, “What about me? Do I look scary?”

Damian replied, “You managed to scare away those people like Maxwell. So, what do you think?”

Xavier thought for a moment, “Fine, I’ll go inside.”

He got up, took his stool, and went inside.

As soon as he did, a young couple arrived. After entering, the

girl asked, “You guys just opened, are there any promotions going on?” Damian immediately rushed ov

er, full of enthusiasm, “Absolutely! Whatever promotion you want, we have!”

The girl hesitated. W ere promotions like dishes? Did customers have to order their promotions?

She glanced around, realizing that all five waiters were burly men with fierce eyes, staring at them. She

shivered and whispered to her boyfriend, “Let’s try another place!”

Just as they were about to turn and leave, Damian suddenly dashed over, scaring them to step back.

With a big smile plastered on his face, Damian said, “Don’t leave, please. Here’s the menu, take a look.

Everything is half–price!”novelbin

Half–price?

The girl was tempted, looked at the menu, and thought the dishes seemed good. After discussing it wit

h her boyfriend, they settled on a table closest to the entrance.

Once their first guests arrived, Damian and the others were over the moon, bustling around to serve th

em.

Three people served them water alone, one holding a coffee pot, two holding cups, and Damian brough

t a large plate of chocolates, placing them on the table, generously saying, “Don’t be shy, help yourselv

es!”

The couple found themselves sitting there in disbelief.

This didn’t feel like dining at a restaurant- it felt like visiting someone’s house!

Xavier noticed that the young couple looked uncomfortable, so he

walked over, kicked Damian, and scolded him jokingly, “You said I was intimidating? You’re the one wh

o’s scaring away customers! Send two people to help Zachary in the kitchen, and hurry up!”

“Yes, sir!” Damian cheerfully sent a couple of others into the kitchen.

As soon as Xavier sat down, more people arrived at the entrance. He put down his phone and casually

greeted, “Hungry? Come on in!”

A group of four or five people walked in, blocking the light, making the room momentarily darker.

Xavier’s face turned cold as he slowly stood up.

The guy called Maxwell was among them, pointing at Xavier, “Marcus, this is the guy who has not paid

the opening fee!”

Marcus, wearing a black Polo shirt, was tall and burly, looking about 200 pounds with a round face and

triangular eyes that emanated an atmosphere of hostility.

He stared at Xavier and arrogantly said, “New people don’t know the rules here. I’ll give you one chanc

e, pay the opening fee now, or get

lost!”

Maxwell, on the other hand, walked up to the bewildered couple and

knocked on their table with a switchblade. “Don’t eat the barbecue here, it’s not clean. Get out of here!”
