Chapter 487

Chapter 487

Emily finally accepted it, “Thanks!”

Jonathan helped her put the box in his car and left with her and Estelle.

Emily’s place was remote, and with traffic, it took almost an hour to get there.

It was already late, so Emily didn’t let Estelle come upstairs, ‘You guys should head back early!”

Estelle knew Emily was upset and didn’t know how to comfort her, so she just said, “From today on, ev

erything will get better!” Emily nodded tearfully. “Yes!”

Holding the gift from Charlie, she said goodbye to Estelle and Jonathan before turning and entering the

building.

Jonathan put his arm around Estelle’s shoulder, ‘Let’s go back too!”

It was an old neighborhood, and cars were parked messily. There were electric cars and bicycles d whi

spered to Jonathan,

downstairs Estelle took a look at the vehicles downstairs, stopped, and

“Wait a second!”

When Emily went upstairs and entered her apartment, the living room was as usual, filled with a group

of alternative people partying.

Guys and girls were making out on the balcony, while others were playing cards. On the coffee table w

ere leftover boxed meals, barbecue, and wine bottles, filling the room with the smell of cigarettes and al

cohol.

Emily, holding the box, walked straight to her room.

Mathilda and John were playing video games on the couch. Mathilda glanced at Emily and deliberately

raised her voice, ‘Some people have no shame, seducing men, slandering others! A college student? F

ake, right?”

Emily stopped in her tracks and looked at Mathilda.

A girl wearing a tank top next to her asked with a laugh, “Mathilda, who are you talking about?”

Mathilda glared at Emily with icy coldness. “The one who knows the truth, you bitch!”

John glanced up and arched an eyebrow at Emily, radiating a smug sense of satisfaction.

Emily’s face drained of color as she realized that John must have concocted a story, blaming her for se

ducing him. It was apparent that Mathilda, as his girlfriend, would naturally believe his version of events

.

She didn’t want to explain, because no one would believe her, and she had already decided that after t

he three months of rent she had paid, she would move out. What she needed to do was protect herself

during these three months!

So she didn’t say anything, just hugged the box and went back to her room, locking the door.

Downstairs, Estelle told Jonathan that she forgot to give something to Emily and asked him to wait in th

e car while she went upstairs.

Jonathan had no doubts and nodded. ‘Hurry back!”

Estelle nodded, turned, and entered the building.

She went up, didn’t call Emily, and knocked directly at the door.

She knocked four or five times before a green–

haired young man came over to open the door, looking at Estelle with awe and asking, “Who are you lonovelbin

oking for?”

Estelle pushed him aside and walked in, scanning the room. Her expression grew colder with each pas

sing second.

Mathilda recognized Estelle but only glanced at her and continued to play the game.

Estelle walked to the middle of the living room, glanced at the watch on her wrist, and asked coldly. “It’s

already 10:30, don’t you think you’re disturbing others‘ rest by acting like this?”
