Chapter 450

Chapter 450

She said casually, “No need, I have things to do in the afternoon, so I need to go back early.”

“Well, then I won’t keep you!” Yvonne smiled warmly and turned to leave.

Soon, Estelle finished giving Henson his lesson and saw only Mrs. Lamont

downstairs. She said goodbye and then started to head out.

“Estelle!”

Yvonne chased after her with a smile, “Estelle, I’d like to have a word with you.”

“Sure!” Estelle nodded.

The two walked slowly along the main road, and Yvonne asked with concern, “How’s Emily?”

“Other than the wound on her palm, everything else has scabbed over,” Estelle réplied

Yvonne nodded, “Nora is still locked up in the police station, and their

family has been affected too. Charlie, feeling guilty, sent his company’s legal team to help Emily with th

e lawsuit and is determined to put Nora and the others in

jail. But I think Charlie is going too far! Look at Emily, she’s fine now. Can you ask her not to press char

ges against Nora?”

Before Estelle could respond, Yvonne quickly added, “I’m not speaking for Nora, but my aunt has been

crying every day and calling my mom nonstop, asking me to plead for Nora. My mom was already in a

bad mood, and Nora’s situation made it even worse. I really had no choice but to come to you.”

“I know Emily listens to you, so as long as she signs the letter of

forgiveness and agrees not to sue Nora, my aunt says she’s willing to give Emily

any compensation, no matter how much money it takes.”

Estelle frowned, “They committed a crime. This is not something that can be solved with money!”

Yvonne

replied, “I know, but Nora has been punished, and she’s regretted it a lot these days. She only did that

stupid thing because she was drunk that day. Also,”

She paused, looking meaningfully at Estelle, “I heard that Emily’s brother just bought a new house but

doesn’t have money for the renovation, so they’re still living in a rented place. I think, instead of

demanding justice for the Sullivan family, it’s better

to get real compensation. Don’t you think? Besides, Emily wasn’t seriously hurt; just a little skin injury

can exchange for a lot of money. I think it’s a good deal!”

As Estelle’s smile gradually faded, she expressed

her concern, “Those individuals had the audacity to openly subject a girl to such torment. It’s clear that t

his wasn’t their first offense. Should we simply let them walk away because of money?”

Yvonne swiftly interjected, “They have already been taught a lesson, and they won’t dare to repeat their

actions in the future!”

Estelle responded firmly, “No, if we allow such heinous acts to be resolved

with mere financial compensation, it will only encourage their further immoral behavior!”

Yvonne’s brows furrowed, and she countered, “Estelle, that’s just how the world works. Even if you see

k justice for the Sullivan family, they might not even appreciate it!”

Estelle said calmly, “I’m not seeking justice for the

Sullivan family. It’s a matter of law, and I don’t have the

right to forgive or not on Emily’s behalf. I think you’d better talk to Emily directly.”

Yvonne continued, “Estelle, you’re still young and may not understand the importance of money. It’s nor

mal to be a little bit extreme. I can talk to Emily, but I hope/ you won’t interfere with her decision.”

“Of course!”

Estelle nodded, not wanting to say more, and turned to leave.

Yvonne watched the girl’s retreating figure, squinted her eyes slightly, and then turned back into the vill

a.

Estelle came out of the villa, and the car that was supposed to

take her back was already parked outside. She opened the door and smelled a familiar scent. Looking

up, she saw it was Jonathan sitting in the driver’s seat.

Jonathan started the car and asked gently, “What did Yvonne say to you?”

Estelle replied, “It’s about Emily’s family situation. She wanted Emily to sign a letter of forgiveness.”novelbin

Jonathan frowned slightly and simply said, “Nora’s family probably went to her for help.”
