Chapter 413

Chapter 413

Yvonne shook her head regretfully, “Nope! KING is super mysterious. Even though I’m the lead actress

in this movie, I’ve never met him. He read the script and designed the clothes according to the

characters‘ personalities. What’s impressive is that we’ve never met, but his designs are totally in line

with my taste. Crazy, right?”

Emily was dumbfounded, “Wow, that’s amazing! But why doesn’t KING ever want to show his face?”

Yvonne raised an eyebrow, guessing, “I think it might be a self–branding strategy. Like, Snowy Studios

gained a big reputation because of King’s mysteriousness, and KING’s value keeps going up.”

She paused, and continued, “Of course, when it gets to a certain level, I think KING might be even

more scared to show his face.”

“Why?” Emily asked, puzzled.

Estelle also looked at her curiously.

Yvonne gave them a “you guys are too naive” expression, and said with a smile, “That’s because

people have such high expectations of KING. He’s afraid that revealing himself will lead to

disappointment, so he’d rather stay hidden. There’s also another possibility – that KING isn’t onenovelbin

person, but a team. It’s the collective wisdom of Snowy Studios‘ designers, so the truth can’t be

exposed.”

Emily looked at Yvonne admiringly, “That makes a lot of sense!”

Estelle’s eyes were clear, and she spoke softly, “Is there another possibility? That KING doesn’t like

being in the limelight and just wants to focus on working?”

Yvonne waved a finger, saying with a laugh, “Estelle, you still don’t get people. Who doesn’t like being

admired from a high place? Some people might say they don’t like being chased by others, but those

who say that have already achieved fame and success. They’re just creating a detached and noble

persona!”

“Knock knock knock!”

As the three of them were talking, someone knocked on the door. Emily opened it, and it was Carson

outside, “Are you guys planning to stay in there forever? Wanna play cards together?”

Emily looked back at Estelle and Yvonne.

Yvonne came out and said, “Sure, what kind of game?”

Several people walked out together, and there were two Poker tables set up in the living room. When

they saw Estelle and the others, they greeted them to play together.

Emily, because of her father’s gambling issues, was absolutely disgusted with gambling and insisted on

not playing.

Yvonne held Emily’s arm affectionately and said, “Both Estelle and Emily are students, not like you rich

kids. So, let’s not use real money tonight.”

Charlie laughed, “Then what do you suggest we play?”

Carson joked, “Strip cards!”

“Get lost!” Yvonne said with a playful scowl, “Didn’t Andrew buy some punishment props before? Bring

them out and let’s see what we have!”

Everyone quickly took out a box of punishment props they had bought earlier. There were stickers with

various dogs and turtles on them – you had to wear one each time you lost.

With girls around, Charlie and the others didn’t dare to go too far. Charlie took a little turtle seal and

said with a smile, “Let’s use this one. Losers stamp their face or forehead, got it?”

Others agreed quickly.

Charlie looked at Emily and said with a smile, “There’s no gambling, just relaxing game among friends.

That’s okay, right?”

Emily hesitated, not expecting Charlie to guess her thoughts. She felt both embarrassed and warm at

the same time, and naturally, couldn’t refuse any longer.

The first game was between Estelle, Emily, Yvonne, and then Charlie joined.

Josiah, Andrew, and others started another game, calling Carson over. Carson didn’t go, but instead

sat behind Emily and said with a smile, “Today, I’ll be her advisor and we’ll beat Charlie together.”
