Chapter 369

Chapter 369

Jonathan’s mind went blank for a moment, followed by a brief emptiness. He couldn’t help but tremble

all over and turned to run towards the still-burning 6616.

“Mr. Lamont, you can’t go!” Addison immediately followed.

Thick smoke billowed out of 6616, but Jonathan didn’t stop, charging straight in.

A firefighter immediately blocked him, “Sir, the fire isn’t out yet, you can’t go in!”

“Get out of my way!” Jonathan’s face was ashen, and he shoved the firefighter aside.

“Sir, sir!”

Several firefighters gathered around, holding Jonathan tightly. “Sir, you can’t go in!”

“Please leave the area immediately!”

Jonathan’s gaze was fixed on the raging fire, his mind consumed by a panic he had never experienced

before. Fear prevented him from thinking calmly, and he had to get in to make sure she wasn’t there.

“Jonathan!”

A crisp voice followed by a firm grip on the man’s wrist.

Jonathan paused for a moment, suddenly turning his head to see Estelle’s astonished eyes. It felt like

his blood froze in an instant.

Estelle, covering her mouth and nose with a wet towel, dragged Jonathan to a place with less

smoke.

The two stood in a corner by the stairwell, Estelle removed the towel and whispered, “I’m fine!”

Jonathan stared at her unblinkingly, grabbing her wrist and pulling her into a tight embrace.

For about five minutes, Jonathan couldn’t speak.

Estelle clung to his clothes, her heart surging with emotions, choked with words.

A big fire was enough to melt the ice in her heart.

“I’m fine,” Estelle softly said.

At that moment, Charlie, Carson, and others just squeezed down from the stairs. They originally

wanted to take the elevator, but it stopped working, and all people had to take the stairs, almost having

their bones crushed.

Charlie looked at the two embracing each other, and whispered with a gracious smile, “Mr. Lamont hasnovelbin

been good at acting recently, he could be a real actor.”

Jonathan glanced coldly at Charlie with a pale face.

The fire in 6616 didn’t spread, so the chaos in Midnight Bar was quickly resolved, and the fire was

extinguished. Firefighters carried out a charred corpse from the room, already lifeless.

Midnight Bar’s rooms were all fire-isolated, so the fire in 6616 didn’t spread to other rooms. Those next

door only felt some heat, thinking the air conditioning was broken.

6616 was reduced to ashes, and as for who died in the fire, why it happened, and why the alarm and

fire extinguishers didn’t automatically activate, all needed to be Investigated.

Jonathan drove Estelle home, and he stayed silent all the way.

Estelle wanted to say something, but seeing his murderous face, she didn’t dare to.

Her phone received a message, and she took a look, “Surveillance has been taken care of.”

The message stayed for three seconds, and before Estelle could delete it, it disappeared on its own.

Estelle looked at the dark night and took a slow breath.

When they arrived at the Royal Mansion. Jonathan didn’t get out of the car, speaking casually, “go

home!”

Estelle looked at the man and asked softly, “What about you? Aren’t you coming up?”

He responded indifferently, “I have other things to do!”

Estelle had other things to deal with too, so she didn’t say anything else, just nodded, unbuckled her

seatbelt, and got out of the car.

Jonathan turned to watch the girl walk towards the elevator, watching her enter the elevator. Once her

figure disappeared, he leaned back against the seat, closed his eyes, and covered the surging

emotions in his eyes.
