Chapter 312

Chapter 312

On Tuesday evening, Charlie returned from his trip abroad, and Carson and the rest of the group

organized a celebration for him at The Sapphire Hotel.

Charlie’s current girlfriend, Nora Frey, arrived with a group of her friends to join in on the festivities.

Even before the evening hours had set in, everyone had gathered at The Sapphire Hotel. Upon Carson

and the others’ arrival, they found Nora and her friends already engaged in lively conversations,

laughing and enjoying each other’s company.

Nora stood out in a revealing strapless dress that accentuated her alluring figure. Her long diamond

earrings swayed as she spoke, emanating a captivating sparkle that caught everyone’s attention.

Upon seeing Carson, Nora immediately stood up and excitedly asked, “Is Charlie here yet?”

Carson grinned, “Isn’t Charlie hanging out with

your sister?”

Nora playfully retorted, “He was supposed to pick me up, but something came up last minute. I thought

he’d come with you guys!”

Carson replied, “He’ll be here soon!”

One of Nora’s friends, Lindsey, teased, “Nora hasn’t seen Mr. James for days; she can’t wait any

longer!”

“Shut up, dumbass. I just got you a designer bag and you’re already making fun of me!” Nora jokingly-

wrestled her friend, and they all laughed in the room.

Carson and the others went to the suite’s cafeteria to have some tea while they waited for Charlie.

After a while, more people arrived, including Andrew, who brought his girlfriend and her friends to join

the fun.

Nora and her friends glanced over, and Lindsey whispered, “Is that Noreen over there?”

Noreen was Charlie’s ex-girlfriend, which wasn’t a secret among their social circle.

Nora scoffed, “Charlie doesn’t even want her anymore, but she’s still shamelessly clinging onto him!”

Lindsey chimed in, “Noreen’s family just runs a small business. She got her hands on Mr. James and

won’t let go easily!”

Another girl sneered, “It’s her own fault she accepted Baber’s bracelet, flaunted it around, andnovelbin

embarrassed Charlie!”

Nora expressed with a hint of condescension, “Exactly. That’s why you shouldn’t get involved with girls

from modest backgrounds. They have no experience with the finer things in life. They cherish

everything they encounter as if it’s a precious treasure!”

Lindsey chimed in, adding, “I’m sure she’s here just for Charlie tonight!”

Nora cast a disdainful glance at Noreen, who had made an effort to dress up for the occasion, unable

to hide her disgust.

Meanwhile, Noreen sat on a sofa with her friends, discreetly observing Nora with a tinge of envy and

resentment.

That’s right; she was here for Charlie!

She’d been trying to win Charlie back but had never managed to see him.

When she heard Charlie was coming back from abroad and there would be a party for him, she asked

Andrew girlfriend to bring her along.

Noreen stubbornly believed that Charlie still loved her and that his new girlfriend was just a ploy to

make her jealous.

Andrew quickly realized what Noreen was up to and scolded his girlfriend behind her back. His

girlfriend, a naive and innocent young lady, was deeply moved by Noreen’s emotions and wanted to

give her another chance to see Charlie.

As the evening grew darker, Charlie entered the hotel, prompting Carson and Andrew to rush over and

greet him.

Noreen, deeply moved by Charlie’s arrival, was about to approach him when Nora beat her to it. Nora

snuggled up to Charlie and playfully pouted, “Why are you so late? I’ve been waiting forever!”

Looking sharp in a navy blue casual suit, Charlie gently patted Nora’s head and smiled. “Behave

yourself. I brought you a gift to make up for it. Is that okay?”

Noreen’s heart twinged at the affection in Charlie’s eyes, and her expression dropped.

“Deal!” Nora sweetly giggled, casting a smug smile at Noreen as she proudly displayed her affection for

Charlie in public. “What’s the gift? I want it right now!”
