Chapter 2191

Dan remarked casually, "I've noticed Gabriel and Sylvia seem pretty tight these days."

Baron's eyes flashed dangerously, "Sylvia is mine."

Downstairs, Sylvia and Gabriel were unfazed by the drama, finishing up their dinner in peace beforesettling the bill and heading out.

Stepping outside, a brisk wind greeted them, but Sylvia felt invigorated by the chill. Glancing at herwristwatch, she turned to Gabriel with a spontaneous idea, "How about we catch a midnightmovie?"

Gabriel raised an eyebrow, "Aren't we a bit early for a midnight showing?"

It was just ten o'clock at night.

"It's a good half-hour walk to the nearest theater, and by the time we get there, we'll only have towait a little," Sylvia reasoned. "What do you think?"

"Sounds good to me!" Gabriel agreed with a nod.

"Then let's hit the road!"

With a smile, Sylvia took the lead, striding across the street with Gabriel quickly catching up to walkbeside her on her left.

Despite the cold night, the streets were still bustling with life. Under the bright lights, there wasalready a hint of holiday cheer in the air.

Sylvia tucked her hands into the pockets of her coat, her long curly hair casually swept up, herstunning beauty and ethereal presence complemented by the tall and handsome Gabriel at her

side. They drew many admiring glances as they walked.

A sudden thought struck Sylvia, and she asked, "Have you ever been to a movie theater before?"

Gabriel shook his head, "Nope."

"Me neither!" Sylvia exclaimed.

They shared a look and after a few seconds, Sylvia burst into laughter. "I'll look up what we need todo so we don't make fools of ourselves."

"Sounds like a plan," Gabriel chuckled.

Sylvia pulled out her phone and started searching for the movie-going protocol.

As she was engrossed in her phone, two playful youths came rushing by, one pushing the otherwho stumbled straight towards Sylvia's back.

Quick as a flash, Gabriel pulled Sylvia into his arms, avoiding the collision. The young manstumbled forward before regaining his balance.

Realizing his near miss, he turned to apologize, but upon seeing Sylvia's face, he was struckspeechless by her beauty.

Sylvia smiled gently, "No worries. Just be careful where you're going in a crowd."

The young man, who seemed to be a college student, blushed and nodded before hurrying off withhis friend.

Gabriel released Sylvia, "Did you find out what we need to do?"

Sylvia looked up with a sparkle in her eye and a hint of triumph, "We need to buy tickets first!"novelbin

Half an hour later, they arrived at the cinema. Sylvia collected the tickets, and they joined the otherswaiting to enter the VIP lounge. The lounge was sparsely filled with couples and a group of girlswho had come together, all there for the late-night feature.

Noticing that the other girls were clutching snacks, Gabriel asked Sylvia, "Want something to munchon?"

Sylvia glanced at the concession stand but shook her head, "I'm good."

Soon it was time to enter. As everyone stood up to have their tickets checked, one of the girlsdeliberately leaned towards Gabriel.

Sylvia had noticed the trio eyeing Gabriel earlier, whispering among themselves. She moved closerto him and took his hand.

Gabriel's expression remained unreadable as he gently enveloped her slightly cold hand in his, asilent gesture of unity.
