Chapter 2106

Estelle grabbed a casual lunch with Magdalen at a bustling downtown diner.

As they munched on their burgers and fries, the topic of Gabriel and Sylvia's budding romance washot on the table. Magdalen, ever the romantic, was confident that her matchmaking skills would payoff with the handsome Gabriel and the stunning Sylvia. Estelle, on the other hand, had her doubtsbut didn't want to rain on Magdalen's parade.

After lunch, which Magdalen insisted was on her as a celebration of her soon-to-be successfulmatch, she got a call from the office and had to rush back. Estelle's phone buzzed with a messagefrom Inman, asking for her input on a couple of design drafts. Estelle made her way back to herapartment complex to review the work.

By the time she finished her revisions, the afternoon had slipped away. She thought about callingGabriel to check in on his blind date, but before she could dial, her phone rang with a call from OldMr. Quintin.

"Master!" Estelle stretched and strolled out of her home office.

"Estelle, my dear, could you drop by? Right now would be great," Old Mr. Quintin's voice rang out, merry as always.

Raising an eyebrow, Estelle asked, "Something up?"

"Just come over, and we'll chat," his tone now laced with urgency.

"On my way," Estelle replied, curiosity piqued.novelbin

Hanging up, she grabbed her car keys and headed out, pondering what Old Mr. Quintin needed todiscuss so urgently.

When she reached the Quintin family estate, laughter and chatter spilled out from the openwindows, hinting at a gathering inside. Estelle slipped in, exchanging her shoes for slippers handedto her by the butler, who also took her coat.

She walked into the living room and immediately noticed Evelyn sitting close to Old Mr. Quintin. Herstep faltered for a moment.

Sophia was the first to spot her. "Estelle, you're here!"

Everyone turned, and Evelyn, who had been sharing a laugh with Old Mr. Quintin, seemed caughtoff guard and rose to her feet, a flush of embarrassment on her cheeks.

"Estelle, come sit!" Old Mr. Quintin beckoned, grinning from ear to ear. "Why didn't you tell me aboutsuch a big development?"

Jason chimed in, "Estelle's been swamped these days. Probably wanted to surprise you."

"A surprise indeed!" Old Mr. Quintin beamed.

"And where did you find Evelyn, Estelle?" Old Mr. Jarvis inquired.

Estelle glanced at Evelyn and replied coolly, "Ran into her at Citadel."

Evelyn approached, remorse in her eyes. "I'm sorry, Estelle. I didn't stay with the Lamont family likeyou told me to. I was just so curious about my own parents and grandfather."

She had gotten Old Mr. Quintin's address from the Lamont family's staff, intending only to have alook. But she ended up running into Old Mr. Quintin outside, who recognized her as Estelle's friendand inquired about her presence there alone.

Moved by the old man's kindness, Evelyn had spilled her story.

"It's okay!" Estelle assured her with a smile. "You would've met each other sooner or later. I wasplanning to bring you over these days to meet Old Mr. Quintin anyway."

Old Mr. Quintin approached, his gaze heavy with gratitude. "You don't know how long this thorn hasbeen in my heart. If you've really brought back Nana, I can die in peace."

Nana was the nickname of Old Mr. Quintin's missing granddaughter.

"Master, let's not get ahead of ourselves," Estelle urged gently. "Evelyn's story and birthmark match, but we still need a DNA test. Let's talk more after that, okay?"

"Indeed!" Old Mr. Jarvis agreed with a chuckle. "Thank Estelle after the test. It's too early to sayanything now."

"We're not in a rush for a DNA test!" Old Mr. Quintin declared, looking at Evelyn with affection. "Shemust be our Nana. For now, she should stay with us. Everything else can wait."

Evelyn turned to Estelle. "I owe you so much. You not only saved my life twice but also helped mefind my family. Without you, I would've been lost in Citadel."

Estelle laughed it off. "Don't mention it. If you truly are my master's granddaughter, then we'repractically family!"

Evelyn's smile was apologetic. "I'm glad you're not mad about me taking matters into my ownhands."

Estelle reassured her, "Not at all. I just didn't want you to be disappointed if things didn't turn out ashoped."
