Chapter 185

Mrs. Macy exclaimed with surprise, “Really?”

Winnie nodded with a smile.

“Let’s go see it!” Mrs. Macy said something to Schilder and then happily left with Winnie

Not long

after they left, a woman in a red suspender dress walked over, holding a drink in her hand, and said co

quettishly, ‘Mr. Anderson, Mr. Macy!”

Baldrick immediately stood up and introduced her to Schilder, “This is Elena, she just sang that opera.”

Schilder’s eyes widened in amazement, “Elena, that was amazing!”

Elena Stone shyly smiled. “It’s my honor to sing for you, Mr. Macy.”

She took the opportunity to sit next to Schilder, “Mr. Macy, if there’s anything else you’d like to hear, I ca

n sing it for you here.”

Baldrick grinned, Tm going to make a phone call. Can you take care of Mr. Macy for me, Elena?”

Elena smiled slightly, “Of course, Mr. Macy is my honored guest. Don’t worry, Mr. Anderson.”

Baldrick gave a satisfied smile, briefly greeted Schilder, and then left.

Inside the dimly lit, enclosed theater, only Schilder and Elena remained.

About ten minutes later, Baldrick saw Elena coming over as he was sitting on a wicker chair outside an

d smoking. He stood up and asked with a frown, “Why ar you coming out so soon?”novelbin

Elena frowned. “He said he didn’t want to listen to opera and only came because he was accompanyin

g his wife. No matter how I hinted, he didn’t take the bait. sorry, Mr. Anderson, it looks like I can’t help y

ou!”

Baldnck was surprised, but he put his arm around Elena’s shoulder, kissed her cheek, and smiled, “Tha

t’s okay. I wouldn’t want you to keep that German compan anyway.”

Elena playfully pushed Baldrick away and said, “Mr. Anderson, you always have such a sweet mouth.”

Baldrick smiled and said, “You can go now, we’ll be in touch later.”

Elena smiled, turned around, and sauntered away.

After finishing a cigarette, Baldrick went back to the tea room. Schilder was looking at his

phone, and when he saw Baldrick enter, he gave a small smile, seeming unfazed

Baldrick sat down and sent a message to Winnie. Moments later, Winnie and Mrs. Macy returned to the

tea room.

Around eleven o’clock, everyone went back to the manor.

In the car, Baldrick held Winnie and sneered, “That German, he’s such a cautious one. Even facing a b

eauty like Elena, he didn’t make a move. I underestimated him Winnie whispered softly, “Maybe we sho

uld find another way. Schilder and his wife seem to have a good relationship.”

Baldrick scoffed. “You don’t know men too well, do

you? If he’s really devoted to his wife, why would his assistant be a young and beautiful woman from hi

s own country?

He reached into Winnie’s collar and said, “It seems that Schilder is very careful. He won’t touch a wom

an unless he knows her background. So, you might have to work harder

The cold wind entered Winnie’s collar when he pulled it open, and she felt a chill in her heart. She play

fully said, “I don’t believe you have the heart to do that!

“As long as it can help me win over Schilder, I’ll definitely compensate you of course, unless it’s absolu

tely necessary, you don’t have to get too intimate with him.” Baldrick tightened his grip and lowered

his head for a kiss.

Winnie closed her eyes, and a bitter taste filled her heart.
