Chapter 1839

Maggie flashed a dazzling smile, "Thank the stars for that fateful afternoon when I was sixteen, the day

I met you!"

She also felt grateful for the fourteen points she'd scored on that day's quiz.

Morrison wrapped his arms around her, "I'm just as grateful!"

The Langston and the Sampson families were tying the knot, and the guest list read like a 'Who's Who'

of J City's elite. Anyone with a name or a fortune had made their appearance.

Lance arrived with his father, who soon got caught up in conversation with some business associates.

Seizing the chance to split, Lance wandered off to mingle with folks he knew.

Strolling through the garden, his eyes landed on Estelle and he was utterly transfixed, a look of

enraptured admiration in his gaze.

He quickly pulled aside a bridesmaid he was acquainted with and whispered, "Do you know Estelle?"

With a friendly smile, she replied, "She's a friend of Maggie's."

"Could you introduce us?" Lance's eyes gleamed with a hint of mischief.

The bridesmaid hesitated, aware of Lance's reputation, "I don't know. She's Maggie's friend. If anything

happens, how would I explain it to her?"

Lance, growing impatient, insisted, "It's broad daylight, we're in a crowd, what could possibly happen? I

just want to meet her!"

"Okay, but don't you dare pull any stunts. Maggie's got a short fuse, and if you mess with her

bridesmaid, she won't let you off the hook!" she warned with a grin.

"Don't worry, nothing will happen," Lance urged, "Please, just go get her. I'll be waiting in the castle's

third-floor loft!"

The bridesmaid agreed and went off to find Estelle.

Sophia was busy taking pictures with Estelle when the bridesmaid approached and greeted them,

"Estelle!"

Estelle turned with a warm voice, "What's up?"

The bridesmaid smiled, "Maggie was looking for you. She wants you to head up to the attic on the third

floor of the castle. She seems to need you for something!"

Having not seen Maggie for a bit, Estelle nodded, "I'll head up now!"

With a smile, the bridesmaid watched her go.

Estelle excused herself from Sophia and made her way through the bustling garden and guests,

heading towards the third floor.novelbin

The ground floor was swarming with guests, the second was reserved for the bridal party's rest and

dress change, quieter, but upon reaching the third floor, it was almost silent save for the distant

laughter from the gardens.

The loft was spacious, with majestic marble columns and walls adorned with portraits of the renowned.

The sunlight streaming in added a touch of elegance to the atmosphere.

Curious about Maggie's request, Estelle walked further in, admiring the view from the floor-to-ceiling

windows, overlooking the estate's vast lawns, tulip-filled gardens, and a distant fountain. It was a

serene haven amidst the festivities.

Lance stepped out from behind a pillar, his gaze fixated on the girl's retreating figure, his obsession

growing as he approached Estelle.

Suddenly, a shadow flickered behind him, and before he could react, he felt a heavy blow to his neck!

His vision blurred, his body wobbled, and he crumpled to the floor.

A strikingly handsome man with an air of distaste emerged, looking down at the figure on the ground

with disgust.

"What a lowlife, thinking he could even dream about my Estelle!"

At the sound, Estelle spun around and locked eyes with the man lurking in the shadows, her

expression one of shock.

"Manley!"

His face lit up with a broad grin, "Estelle, darling!"
