Chapter 1826

Estelle waved Jonathan off as he drove away, and only then did she head back upstairs.

She tidied up a bit before heading to the set.

When she arrived at the set, she received a message from Jonathan; he had checked in for his flight.

Estelle replied, assuring him that he should focus on his work and not worry about her.

There wasn't much left to do on set, so after organizing all of the design drafts for the show, she

chatted with Craig Blythe and the crew for a while.

Yulia, after shooting her final scene, dashed over to Estelle, not caring about the crowd around them or

her celebrity image, and hugged Estelle tightly. "Estelle, I can't bear to part with you. If my next gig is in

J City, you have to come and be my designer again."

Aside from Jonathan, Estelle wasn't used to such close physical contact with others, but she managed

to keep from pushing Yulia away, offering a faint smile instead. "We'll see if the opportunity arises!"

Yulia exclaimed with excitement, "Mr. Tucker mentioned there's a wrap party tonight. Let's make it an

all-nighter, no going home until we're completely sloshed!"

Estelle shook her head, "I need to get home and get some sleep on schedule."

Yulia huffed, "You're such a killjoy!"

Craig chimed in from the side, "You see, even Mr. Tucker doesn't dare ask Estelle to pull an all-nighter,

and you expect her to keep up with you? Dream on!"

"Fine, if Estelle can't make it, you definitely can. No sneaking off!" Yulia said, gripping Craig's arm with

a laugh.

Craig laughed heartily, "As long as you don't give Estelle a hard time, I'm all yours to hang with you!"

"I'm in too!" Blythe added with a chuckle.

After working closely together for over half a year, the thought of going their separate ways after the

wrap was hard on everyone. The industry might be small, but reunions were still left to chance, so the

goodbyes were especially poignant.

The wrap party was held at The Sailing Hotel, where Mr. Tucker splurged on renting out a banquet hall,

encouraging everyone to eat, drink, and be merry to their heart's content.

In addition to the production team, investors were also invited to the bash.

Yvonne made an appearance as well, buzzing between directors and producers, though her gaze

frequently drifted towards Estelle's corner.

Once there was a lull in the crowd around Estelle, Yvonne approached with a glass of wine and a light

smile. "Estelle!"

Estelle regarded her coolly, "What is it?"

Seeing the two had matters to discuss, others discreetly moved away.

Yvonne, still strikingly beautiful with her bold features and fiery red lips, asked, "Estelle, do you hate

me?"

Estelle's gaze was calm, "Hate is a strong word. I don't particularly like you, but let's just say I'm not

fond of your past actions—bribing Gwen, trying to sabotage my relationship with Jonathan, using Zack

to try and get rid of me. I'm aware of all that. However, in the end, you did inadvertently lead Wolverine

to me, so I've let bygones be bygones."

Yvonne chuckled awkwardly, "I was blinded by jealousy, and I did some regrettable things. Thank you

for letting it go."

Estelle's expression remained cool, "What's your point?"

Yvonne hesitated before speaking softly, "Jonathan asked me to leave J City. I said I'd go after we

wrapped up this show, and now that time has come. But my mom's health is failing, and you know my

family's situation. My brother Gonzalez won't come back, and with my dad's health barely holding up, if

I leave, they'll have no one."

Estelle replied indifferently, "Whatever you promised him, you should discuss with him, not me."

"But Jonathan only listens to you!" Yvonne insisted. "I promise not to interfere with you two; I just want

to stay and be there for my mom."

Estelle maintained her stance, "I'm sorry, but you need to discuss your promises with Jonathan."novelbin

With that, Estelle walked away.

Yvonne watched Estelle's retreat, clutching her wine glass a little tighter.

Yulia came over to find Estelle, "I've booked a room at 9th Mansion. Let's head over and keep the party

going."

Estelle glanced at the clock, "No thanks, you go ahead. I'm heading home soon."

"What's the rush? It'll be hard to see me again after this!" Yulia pouted.

Estelle smiled gently, "It won't be hard. I can always see you on TV!"
