Chapter 1792

Chapter 1792

"Emily is inherently kind and has received a top-notch education abroad, she has her own independent

thinking. She's nothing like the Sullivans, so you don't need to worry!" Mr. James reassured smoothly.

“If you can't accept Emily for now, don't try to sabotage her relationship with Charlie. If Charlie gets

upset, I won't be able to clean up the mess. The best course of action right now is to wait and see how

things go between Charlie and Emily. Let's not strain our relationship further, we could still spend more

time with Kya!"

Mrs. James considered his words, then slowly nodded, “Alright, {'ll listen to you. I won't do anything for

now and let Charlie date Emily for a while. Let's say it's all for Kya!"

"That's the spirit!" Mr. James chuckled, "Who knows, maybe Kya can come home this weekend!"

“Really?” Mrs. James asked, her voice filled with excitement and anticipation.

"As long as you stop trying to break them up, I can talk to Charlie about it!"

“Hurry up then!" Mrs. James urged. "The playground in the garden is almost ready; Kya would be so

thrilled to see it!"

The thought of Kya’s innocent, joyful laughter made Mrs. James restless.

“Alright, alright, don't worry. I'll call Charlie!" Mr. James stood up to make the call.

Charlie picked up Mr. James' call, and after hearing him out, feigned hesitation, "My mom doesn't

accept Emily, I'm afraid Emily will be upset!"

Mr. James reasoned, "Kya is our granddaughter, the child of the James family. It's not unreasonable for

us to spend the weekend with her, is it?"

Charlie chuckled lightly, "You don't like Emily, but you still want her daughter? Life's never that simple,

is it?"

Mr. James softened his tone, “Your mom has decided to step back from interfering in your relationship.

I will also work on convincing her to accept Emily. We need to take it one step at a time, right? First, let

Kya come home this weekend, and we can discuss the rest!"

Charlie snickered, concealing any hint of agreement in his voice, and reluctantly replied, “I'll discuss it

with Emily then!"

“I believe Emily will agree!" Mr. James laughed, "The girl you like, she must understand."

Charlie responded, “Don't patronize me. I don't need her to understand; I just want her to be herself,

that's enough for me!"

"You really like her, huh?" Mr. James laughed lightly.

“Mm, very much so." Charlie's voice softened unconsciously, "So, I hope you won't stand in the way, for

my sake."

“Alright!” Mr. James agreed warmly, "Though I haven't met Emily yet, but from everything you've told

us, I believe she must be a good girl. If you like her, I support you!"

Charlie said sincerely, "Thanks, dad!"novelbin

Mr. James reminded, "You and Emily can date for now, but don't make any decisions about marriage

without our consent."

Charlie chuckled, "Emily feels the same way. Don’t worry!"

Mr. James said, "Then, no problem. Make sure Kya comes home this weekend!"

"Got it!" Charlie replied, his voice filled with charm, "I have to get back to work!"

"Go ahead!"

Mr. James hung up the phone and hurried to share this good news with his wife!

That afternoon, Elliott was dismissed and sent home.

Bonnie was lounging on the couch, watching TV show while munching on some fruit. Gina was

mopping the floor nearby, heart aching as she watched Bonnie enjoying the imported fruit that cost ten

dollars per pound.

Of course, Bonnie didn't care for her feelings.

As the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law were each wrapped up in their own thoughts, Elliott came

home.

Gina asked in surprise, "Why are you home so early?"
