Chapter 1723

Chapter 1723

“Goodbye!"

Emily hung up the phone, brushing off Wilson's words and dove into her afternoon hustle.

Magdalen was quite hungover as well. She was jolted awake by a phone call at noon. There were more

than a dozen missed calls on her cell.

Most were work-related, while others were messages from Estelle and Emily.

She responded to each one, sitting up in her bed, struggling to remember how she got home the

previous night.

All she could vaguely recall was getting up in the middle of the night to shower and remove her

makeup. She had to chuckle at herself for remembering to care for her skin, even when drunk!

After washing her face, she was able to sober up a little bit. She stepped out of her room to find Kevin

setting out food in the kitchen.

Magdalen's expression turned cold. "What are you doing here?"

Kevin smiled. "I've been here before, remember? You gave me the code."

Magdalen leaned against the door frame, arms crossed, looking cold. "We used to be friends. Now

we're not even strangers. You're in my house without permission. Is that appropriate?"

Kevin didn't answer. He just smiled gently. "I made some apple vinegar and a few dishes. Try them and

see how they taste."

"Kevin!" Magdalen was feeling dizzy and weak. Kevin had been relentless, sending her flowers and

gifts. She'd throw them out, but he'd just send more. He hadn't backed off even after she'd hit him. She

was at a loss as to what he was trying to do.

Magdalen brushed her loose hair back in irritation. "You really don't need to waste your time here. If

you're doing this for Antonia, then go tell her that I've broken up with Morrison. Your mission is

accomplished!"

Kevin prepared a glass of vinegar for her and said, "Whether or not you believe that I like you doesn't

matter. I've got plenty of time to prove it."

Magdalen didn't have the energy to arque with him today. She walked over and began to eat. Kevin

was incredibly attentive, serving her soup.

After taking a sip of soup, Kevin immediately asked, “How's the taste? I made it from a recipe. If it's not

good, you can tell me."

“It's okay!" Magdalen responded coldly.

Kevin immediately beamed, "If you like it, I can come over and make soup for you every day. You

shouldn't always eat out. It's not healthy!"

“I'm okay!" Magdalen responded calmly, "I'm going to change the code today. You don't need to come

over anymore."

Kevin's smile froze, but he didn't give up, "If I can't come to your house, then I'll just deliver it to your

office!"

“Kevin, can you stop?” Magdalen put down her spoon, visibly annoyed.

"Unless you agree with me, I won't stop!" Kevin's eyes were full of determination.

"Do you want me to hit you again?"

“Unless you cripple me and I can't move, I'll definitely keep bothering you!"

Magdalen sneered, "Are you so touched by your own deep feelings that you're completely blinded? But

to me, it's worthless!"

Kevin stiffened, ‘I don't care what you say. This time, I've set my mind on you, and I won't give up!"

“You're insane!” Magdalen snapped.

“Lam sick, not insane. I'm lovesick!"

Magdalen looked at him as if he was a fool.

Suddenly, the front door opened and Morrison walked in. Seeing the two of them in the kitchen, hisnovelbin

handsome face instantly turned incredibly gloomy.

His eyes swept over Magdalen's pajamas and her makeup-free face, then at the soup and dishes on

the table.

He said in a deep voice, "What's going on?"

The first thought that came to Magdalen when she saw Morrison was that she absolutely, positively

needed to change the door code!

Kevin met Morrison's gaze fearlessly and announced, “I'm pursuing Magdalen!"
