Chapter 1700

Chapter 1700

Estelle looked at Sabina with clear, icy eyes, her voice cool and distant. “Do you think Mr. Lamont owes

you an explanation for working for me?"

Sabina’s face turned pale when she stared at Estelle in disbelief.

“Explain what?" Jonathan looked at Sabina, his voice slow and cold.

A chill ran through Sabina, her spine stiffening against her will. Her voice slightly hoarse, she

stammered, “N-nothing, I was just concerned about Estelle."

Jonathan's gaze remained cold. "The Macclains have always been short-sighted, always chasing after

profit. I hope you're not like them."

Sabina knew Jonathan was warning her. She quickly responded, "Of course not. Since the day Estelle

returned to the Macclains, I've considered her my sister."

Estelle's lips curled ever so slightly, her gaze cool. She didn't expose Sabina in front of Jonathan.

Jonathan gave a small nod. "Everyone's been working hard these days. Let's call it a day."

Kally, standing nearby, exclaimed excitedly, "Thanks, Mr. Lamont!"

Estelle smiled at Kally, ignoring Sabina. She casually linked her arm with Jonathan's, leaning into him

slightly.

She laughed, “Courtney said that Arthur's been experimenting with a new dish. I wonder how it's

coming along."

"Don't get your hopes up too high. He's very strict with his own work. Sometimes, it takes him months

to be satisfied."

“A labor of love makes it even more exciting!"

Jonathan's voice was soft and tender, different from his usual demeanor. Sabina watched them,

jealousy creeping into her heart.

She watched their retreating backs until they stepped into the elevator. Only then did the coldness in

her eyes spread to her face, her hands slowly clenching into fists.

Estelle was doing this on purpose. She had called her in the afternoon to mock her, and now she was

flaunting her relationship with Jonathan.

Did Jonathan really like Estelle?

Kally approached her, a smirk playing on her lips. "Now you know why I told you not to mess with

Estelle, huh?"

Sabina's eyes were red, full of resentment. She turned to glare at Kally. "What's their relationship?"novelbin

“Can't you tell?" Kally shrugged.

Sabina's face twisted with jealousy. She gritted her teeth, "Estelle is spoilt and arrogant, always

causing trouble.

If this continues, the Lamont Group will be ruined by her. I don't know what you're so pleased about."

Then Sabina stormed off in her high heels.

Kally watched Sabina’s retreating figure, finding her both detestable and pitiful. No, she wasn't pitiful at

all. Even though she had feelings for Mr. Lamont, she had never expressed them. Now that Estelle was

in the picture, all she did was compete with Estelle in secret. She brought it upon herself.

Kally huffed, packing up to leave.

Jonathan personally drove Estelle to Yum Yum Bakery for dinner.

As Jonathan leaned over to fasten her seatbelt, Estelle leaned in and planted a kiss on his cheek.

Jonathan froze, turning to look at Estelle. Under the dim light, his gaze was even more intense. “What's

up?"

Estelle had been unusually forward today. It excited him, but also made him anxious. This wasn't like

her.

Estelle's gaze was clear and bright. She shook her head with a smile, "Nothing, just drive. I'm hungry!"

Jonathan cradled her face, pressing a kiss to her lips. He rested his forehead against hers, "You have

to tell me if something's wrong."
