Chapter 1680

Chapter 1680

Emily clocked out early from work today and arrived first at Estelle’s place. She found her friend sitting

on the patio, sketching designs. With a frown, she said, “The internet is buzzing about you, and you’re

just sitting here calm as a cucumber. I admire your coolness, Estelle!”

“Only those who have something to hide would get upset. I have nothing to hide,” Estelle retorted with

a smirk, looking up at Emily. “How’s the new job?”

“It’s going great for now,” Emily replied, her tone gentle and warm. “What do you feel like eating

tonight? I’ll whip something up for you.”

Emily knew that Estelle didn’t need comforting Estelle didn’t care about the rumors. She was always

strong and fearless. Emily knew that the only thing she could do was cook something delicious for her.

Just as Estelle was about to name a couple of dishes, her phone rang. She picked it up and answered, novelbin

“Amiee?”

Amiee informed her, “I tracked down the IP of the person who posted online. I hacked their computer,

and all their chat messages have been shredded. It will take some time to restore them. However, I

found some clues. This person had contact with someone named Antonia on WhatsApp. Do you know

Antonia?”

Estelle didn’t question Amiee’s technical skills. She wasn’t surprised to hear Antonia’s name. She

chuckled lightly and said, “Yes, I know her. Thanks for your hard work!”

“No problem at all’ Amiee replied, her tone firm. “I’ll restore the deleted content on her computer as

soon as possible. If I find any useful information, I’ll call you again.”

“Alright.”

Estelle hung up the phone and turned to Emily, smiling. “Let’s skip dinner tonight. You owe me one

tomorrow!”

Emily was taken aback. “What happened? Did you find something?”

Estelle put away her designs, her expression cool. “Ive shown enough patience, and it only

emboldened them. Maybe a more straightforward approach is needed.”

Emily worriedly said, “What are you planning to do? You should tell Jonathan first, let him handle it!”

“No need for him,” Estelle said dismissively.

The Lamont Group and the Crawley family were collaborators. She could handle this on her own!

On the other end, after Amiee had finished her call with Estelle, she was manipulating the person’s

computer when Josiah stormed in

“Amiee, did you see the post slandering Estelle online?” Josiah furiously asked. “Hack them now!”

Amiee nonchalantly glanced at Josiah, her fingers flying over the keyboard. “Do I look like a puppet to

you who can’t move without your command?”

“What’s the situation now?” Josiah jumped from the couch to stand behind Amiee.

Amiee multitasked, saying, “I’ve taken down the post online, and I’m currently hacking the poster’s

computer to restore the deleted messages.”

Josiah watched as she entered codes, and a dialog box popped up filled with gibberish.

“What is this?” he curiously asked.

“Someone is trying to regain control of the computer,” Amiee replied briefly.

“Did they succeed?” Josiah queried.

Amiee looked at him as if he was an idiot. “What do you think?”

Josiah flashed a mischievous smile, hugging Amiee from behind and planting a big kiss on her cheek.

“My wife is the best!”

Amiee’s expressionless face flickered with discomfort. She shrugged, “Back off, you’re disturbing my

work.”

“No!” Josiah insisted, clinging onto her want to hug you. Anyway, how’s Estelle doing?”

“Do you think she cares about such nonsense?” Amiee replied indifferently.

Josiah’s face darkened. “Flies don’t bite, but they’re annoying. Once we find who’s responsible, we

squash them, and then we can have peace.”

Amiee raised her eyebrows. “Are you referring to yourself?”

Josiah suddenly remembered his codename was “Goshawk” in Eagle Valley. Realizing that Amiee was

making a double entendre, his face turned dark!

That night, at the 9th Mansion.

When Magdalen walked in, the receptionist gasped in surprise.
