Chapter 1445

Chapter 1445

The backyard was deserted, which took Norah by surprise. She turned around and headed upstairs.

On the second floor, Norah walked up to Xavier’s room and saw Luisa lying on his bed, her back turned

to the door. Her bare waist was showing, and her seductive pose caught Norah off guard.

“What the hell, Luisa!” Norah exclaimed, startled by what she saw.

Luisa jumped up from the bed, dropping whatever she was holding.

It was the marigold flowers Norah had planted. Two blossoms had just opened, and Luisa had picked

them.

“Are you kidding me? You even picked my flowers!” Norah yelled, picking up the flowers in anger.

All Luisa did was dodge her gaze and head for the door without uttering a word.

“Hold it right there!”

Norah chased her all the way to the living room, catching Luisa by the arm and saying. “Don’t you dare

walk away from me!”

“What’s going on?” Xavier emerged from the bathroom, frowning at the two of them. novelbin

“Xavier, were you in the room? What were you doing with Luisa?” Norah was in disbelief.

“Norah, don’t jump to conclusions!” Xavier’s face fell.

“I was just bringing Mr. Flemmings some soda,” Luisa defended herself with an innocent lock.

“Soda? And that requires lying on his bed?” Norah scoffed.

“I sprained my ankle on the stairs, and I sat on your bed for a bit. I’m sorry; I’ll be more careful next

time,” Luisa apologized, looking at Xavier.

Xavier, not wanting to cause a misunderstanding, scolded Norah, “Don’t blow this out of proportion!”

“Then why did she pick my flowers?” Norah was fuming. “Who gave you the right to pick my flowers?”

“I went to the backyard to look for Mr. Flemmings, and he wasn’t there. I saw the flowers and thought

they were pretty, so I picked two of them,” Luisa explained, biting her lip and looking at Xavier with a

pitiful expression. “I didn’t know they were Norah’s.”

At that moment, Zachary and the others came down from upstairs after hearing the commotion. Luisa

ran to Zachary, hugging him and crying, “Zachary, I didn’t mean to!”

“What the hell is going on?” Zachary was confused.

“I picked two flowers from the backyard, and Norah is mad at me,” Luisa sobbed

“Norah, Luisa probably didn’t know they were your flowers. I apologize on her behalf, Zachary said with

a goofy smile.

Norah was furious that Luisa had picked her flowers and even more furious about the way she was

lying on Xavier’s bed earlier. But she couldn’t say anything in front of Zachary, so she just watched

Luisa play innocent.

Everyone at the store knew Norah loved to garden. Those two marigold plants she bought were

expensive. They thought she was just throwing a fit over the flowers.

Even Damian came over to calm her down.

She swallowed her anger and stared at the crying Luisa, saying, “I put a lot of effort into growing these

flowers. You said it was unintentional, does that make it okay? From now on, you’re not allowed in the

barbecue shop, the backyard, or upstairs!”

Zachary stared at Norah in shock and asked, “Norah, why are you so angry?”

“Come on, Norah! It’s just two flowers! Are they really worth all this fuss?” Xavier said, pulling her arm.

“That’s so not cool!” Norah said angrily, “Do you know how much I spent on that bunch? Can she afford

to pay for it? Either way. I won’t let her come to the barbecue shop anymore”

Luisa was crying on Zachary’s shoulder.

Zachary looked at Norah, trying to resolve the situation, and said, “Norah, I can compensate you. Can

we stop upsetting Luisa?”

“No need for compensation, you guys just leave!” Xavier pulled Norah by the arm and headed inside.

Norah shot a cold glare at Luisa before being ushered into Xavier’s room.
