Chapter 1426

Estelle leaned into Jonathan's embrace and said, "If you're uncomfortable, you can go to the adjacent

room to rest."

"No! I'm staying right here!" Jonathan replied immediately.

"Then keep it down; I need to rest." Estelle was too tense before and had now started to relax. She was

so sleepy that she couldn't keep her eyes open.

"Well, you rest. I'll just hold you like this," Jonathan said in a low voice.

"Mm-hmm." Estelle's voice had become faint.

As she was about to fall asleep, Jonathan whispered in her ear, "Babe, say you love me again."

"I love you," Estelle mumbled with her eyes closed.

"How much?"

"A lot."

"Say it again, will you?"

"Jonathan, if you don't shut up, I'm kicking you out!" Estelle pushed him away, got out of bed, grabbed

her blanket, and prepared to leave.

She was ready to go to the adjacent room to rest.

Jonathan pulled her back and said, "Okay, okay! I won't bother you anymore."

Exhausted, Estelle lay down. She was so sleepy that she felt dizzy, so she didn't argue with him

anymore and soon fell asleep.

When Estelle woke up again, it was already daylight. She instinctively turned her head to see that she

was the only one in bed.

Her head was a bit fuzzy, and she was unsure if everything from last night was a dream.

Her phone was right next to her. She picked it up and saw a message from Jonathan: "Sleep some

more; I'm with grandpa."

Estelle looked at her phone and smiled lightly.

She got up, brushed her teeth, changed her clothes, and when she was about to leave, Blue in thenovelbin

hallway called, "Estelle!"

She took a few seeds out of a nearby bag and fed them to Blue, saying, "I'm going to see Grandpa; I'll

play with you when I come back."

Blue took the seeds and excitedly flapped its wings after eating.

Estelle walked towards the front yard and ran into Dr. Ollie outside Grandpa’s room. She asked, "How's

grandpa?"

"He just woke up; he's in good spirits." Dr. Ollie replied with a smile.

"Thank you!" Estelle said gratefully.

"No need for thanks; it's my job." Dr. Ollie's face was much more relaxed than last night.

"Does Grandpa need to go to the hospital for a check-up?" Estelle still looked worried.

"Mr. Jarvis's health problems have been chronic for many years; a hospital check-up might not reveal

anything new. But of course, it would be better if Mr. Jarvis was willing to go." Dr. Ollie suggested.

Estelle knew about Grandpa’s stubbornness; convincing him to go to the hospital would indeed be a

challenge.

They went into the room together and saw Jonathan chatting with Mr. Jarvis. He turned his head, and

his eyes lit up when he saw Estelle.

"Didn't I tell you to sleep in a bit?" Jonathan spoke gently.

Estelle smiled and said, "Couldn't sleep once I woke up."

She walked over to the bed and bent down, saying, "Grandpa."

Mr. Jarvis smiled with affection and said, "I made you all worry."
