Chapter 1409

Chapter 1409

Sallie said, “I believe Estelle can pull it off.”

Amber didn’t want to burst Sallie’s bubble, but she also didn’t want her to count her chickens before

they hatch. “Estelle might pit Mr. Gellar against the production team, even threaten to stop filming. But

you got to know, the power behind Heather is no joke. Even if they had to scrap the Gellar family as anovelbin

selling point, they wouldn’t dare to cross the big shots.”

If Liam were dead against working with Carmella, they’d spin it as the Gellar family refusing to

cooperate and just pair Sallie up with some random tailor.

Heather’s end game was to make sure she’s not outshone by Sallie and Amber.

And Amber and Sallie? They’ll end up on the production team’s bad side.

So, Amber wasn’t on board with Sallie bringing Estelle into the mix.

If they got on the wrong side of the production team, it would make life in the entertainment world a

whole lot tougher for them.

Despite Amber’s reservations, Sallie was determined to get Estelle involved. Amber, resigned to the

situation, was already preparing how to explain things to the director, trying to limit the damage and

prevent the director from thinking they were picking a fight with the entire production team. After

arriving in Moonbrook, Estelle first went to Mr. Gellar’s place.

Liam was adamant about not working with Carmella. The production team was trying to negotiate with

him, offering various perks, including promoting the Gellar tailor store and bumping up Liam’s expenses

to a six-figure sum.

But Liam wasn’t biting. He had one condition: to meet with Estelle.

Whoever Estelle said to work with, he’ll work with!

Just as the director was tearing his hair out, a staff member ran over and said, “The Estelle Mr. Gellar

wanted to see is here!”

The director and producer exchanged glances before saying, “Hold Estelle back, don’t let her see Liam

yet. We’ll talk to her first.”

The staff member stopped Estelle, saying the director wanted to see her.

Estelle knew that the crux of the matter wasn’t with Mr. Gellar but with the director’s team, so without

saying much, she agreed to meet the director. Outside the director’s makeshift office, Carmella and

Heather were already waiting. Sallie, upon hearing that Estelle had arrived, hurried over. “Estelle!”

Sallie approached quickly.

“Don’t worry, I’ll handle this,” Estelle said calmly.

Heather sneered, “I thought you’d brought in some big shot, but it’s you again. Think you can take on

the production team? Better think twice!”

Estelle’s gaze was icy. “No one wants to fight with the production team. I just want to know why there

was a sudden change. Mr. Gellar was persuaded by me, and I need to give him an explanation, not let

him think that the production team is without principles, changing rules on a whim, and going back on

their word”

Carmella stepped forward, unfazed, “Estelle, I suggest you don’t bother trying to piss off the director.

Frankly, the financial backers behind this insisted on it, and the director is just following their orders.

Whatever you say isn’t going to change the outcome. Better to accept the situation and leave some

room for Mr. Gellar and Sallie.”

“Money talks?” Estelle raised an eyebrow.

Carmella lowered her voice, “Heather pulled in Yvonne, who then got the president of the Lamont

Group involved. Once Mr. Lamont speaks up, who in the TV station would dare to rebut?”

With a smug smile on her face, Carmella continued, “Estelle, even if you are the Lamont family’s tutor

and are close with Jonathan, Yvonne and Mr. Lamont are old friends. Who do you think is more

important? Don’t make a fool of yourself!”

“Jonathan helped you? Estelle squinted suspiciously

“Yes” Carmella confirmed deliberately, “I heard Mr. Lamont personally called the TV station’s

leadership. So, don’t waste your time
