size.
He removed the rose pattern from his ring, turning it into a plain band, and adjusted it to fit his own

"Give me your hand!" Charlie turned to Emily.
Emily instinctively hid her hand behind her back and said, "Just put it on the princess in the castle!"
"You are my princess!" Charlie looked at Emily and said softly. Then he reached out, pulled her hand

The new picture book piqued her interest and she finally agreed to go to bed.
Emily picked up Kya and awkwardly looked at Charlie.
"Going to kick me out again? Kent is attending the dinner on my behalf, so he can't pick me up now;'
Charlie chuckled.
Emily thought to herself, he clearly had other drivers!
But if she said that, he would definitely get mad. So, all she said was, "I bought a new bathrobe. It's in
the guest room's closet. You can get it yourself.’
Hearing that Emily had bought him a bathrobe, a smile appeared on Charlie's face, "Don't go straight to
sleep after getting Kya to sleep.

Emily turned on the bedside lamp, got Kya tucked in, and picked up the new picture book to start
reading.
Emily's voice was soft and soothing. Kya chatted with her for a bit, gradually feeling tired, and soon
closed her eyes.
Emily gently stroked Kya's hair, continuing the story at a slow pace, but her mind was a bit chaotic.
Her gaze swept over the ring on her finger, pausing slightly, a mix of joy and loss washing over her.
