Simone noticed that Carmella was not at home, she gave her a ring. As it happened, Carmella was in
bed with Finley
Finley glanced at her phone and hung up straightaway, tossing it aside. The phone rolled around on the
floor and ended up on top of their clothes.
On a Sunday afternoon, Estelle met Sophia who had just returned from M Country.
Sophia, the daughter of Old Mr. Quintin’s friend, was obsessed with painting and grew up by the side of
Old Mr. Quintin
When Estelle and Jason founded Snowy Studios, Sophia was studying in B City. By the time she
returned, Snowy Studios had already made a name for itself. Estelle was solely focused on creating
and didn’t involve herself in the running of the studio. Therefore, Jason invited Sophia to be the design
director.

Harriet followed her and walked in, laughing, “Okay, everyone, take a seat!”
With Estelle still in her arms, Sophia added, “Estelle, I’ve missed you so much, I came back just for
you!”
Back when Estelle first started learning painting from Old Mr. Quintin, Sophia was living in his house.
Being three years older, she always treated Estelle like a little sister and spent every day with her.
At the time, Estelle barely spoke to anyone and didn’t respond to Sophia’s enthusiasm, but Sophia
didn’t mind and followed Estelle around all the time.
After hearing Sophia’s words, Jason scoffed, “If you were here for Estelle, you should’ve come back a
long time ago!”
Sophia looked at Jason unhappily, “Boss, why are you always targeting me? I’ve been drawing my
salary from the studio these all years, but I’ve never slacked off”
“Are you sure about that?” Jason chuckled disdainfully, “As the design director, you’re not even in the
studio. You’ve missed two out of five video conferences, and you’ve dumped all the work you didn’tnovelbin
want to do on me. So, tell me, what have you been doing these last few years?”
Sophia bit her lip and looked at Estelle, “Estelle, Jason is bullying me, will you help me?”
Jason was four years older than Sophia and also the boss of Snowy Studios, but in terms of seniority.
Jason was Sophia’s junior, because Sophia had become Old Mr. Quintin’s disciple before him.
Sophia always addressed Jason by his first name.
Estelle felt even more guilty listening to Jason and began to laugh, “Sophia is back now, isn’t she?
Don’t be angry!”
Jason and Sophia were always at odds, arguing every time they met. Estelle was already used to it.
