Emily said, “It’s pouring outside, and Kent isn’t here, where do you plan to go?”
Charlie’s eyes darkened. “So you do care about me a little, right?”

Emily closed her eyes briefly and whispered, “If I follow what you said, I should stay away from you.”

Charlie saw her smile, and his heart started to itch again.
“Think about what I said, maybe in three months, I’ll really let you go.”
Emily’s tears were still not dry when she replied, “If I agree to you, in three months, we won’t even be
friends.”
Charlie looked at her deeply and gently planted a kiss on her lips. He lingered there for a moment, then
pulled away. He smiled a little, his voice was soft and low “Emily do you think we could ever be just
friends?”
