Chapter 1315

Chapter 1315novelbin

He stood up and said to Magdalene, "I hope you can have a chill talk with Ella. After all, she's got

nothing to do with all this. As for me and Ella getting back together, it was bound to happen. I never

really thought about giving up on her, and I won't."

Jonathan finished his piece and left.

Estelle watched him close the door before turning to Magdalene and saying, "If you need to blow off

some steam, aim it at me. You're right, I'm too soft-hearted."

"So you two team up, and now I'm the odd one out, huh?" Magdalene bit out angrily.

"Magdalene!" Estelle frowned.

"Hold up!" Magdalene squinted. "What did Jonathan mean by him being next door?"

"That means he bought the house next door and is living there now.

And oh, he also bought the house I'm living in.” Estelle shrugged.

"Huh!" Magdalene pinched the bridge of her nose, scoffing, "So, you just let him sweep you off your

feet like that?"

Estelle leaned back against Magdalene, her eyes clear and calm.

"Magdalene, you understand emotions better than anyone. You said that even if you and Morrison

Langston break up, you won't ever fall in love with anyone else in this lifetime. I feel the same way."

Magdalene, who was initially full of anger, was suddenly at a loss for words.

She took a deep breath and said in a grave voice, "But I can't accept that you two made up just like

that. It hurts!"

"His moving in next door shows that he's actually done a lot for me."

Estelle leaned back on the couch, speaking lightly: "At first, I told myself that I wouldn't look back after

breaking up. But I can't lie to myself. I'm really happy with him."

Magdalene looked at her clear eyes and regretted saying, "When you first came to J City, I should have

introduced you to more guys. Then you wouldn't have met Jonathan so soon and fallen head over

heels for him. Or maybe if you had met Manley first, you wouldn't have fallen for Jonathan"

Estelle chuckled. "There are no what-ifs in life. Besides, I came to J City for him, as you know:

Magdalene snorted, "But you didn't fall for him back then. I should have stopped you from becoming

the Lamont family's tutor. And when you two became lovers, I should have stopped you even more."

Estelle said mildly, "I share the blame for what happened with Jonathan as well. I wasn't

straightforward; I didn't tell him about my background."

"Hold on!" Magdalene said angrily, "Even if there is a need for reflection, there's a limit to it. How could

you tell him your identity when he was trying to annul his marriage with the McClain family?

Besides, that's not the point. The point is he believed Yvonne over you!"

"We both messed up; that's why it ended that way!"

"Are you sure you've resolved all the issues between you two now?"

"Magdalene, I know you mean well, but I've decided to give it another shot.’ Estelle said calmly, "Please

trust me one more time!"

Magdalene sighed with a helpless and pained look in her eyes. "What else can I do when you put it like

that?"

Estelle gave a slight smile and said, "Don't worry, the past problems won't repeat themselves!"

"I just know you too well. You give your all to anyone you care about.

You did it for me, for Xavier Flemmings, and now for Jonathan. But I hope you won't rush into things

with Jonathan this time and leave some room for yourself.” Magdalene said it seriously.

Estelle nodded slightly and said, "Il know what to do."
