Chapter 126

Chapter 126

“So you’re still his wife legally.” Magdalen snorted coldly. “You should have just gone and asked what

their relationship was just now. It’s outrageous, the way they were acting all lovey–dovey in front of

you.”

Estelle said lightly, “You of all the people should understand my relationship with Jonathan. No matter

how many lovers he has, I don’t have the right to question him.”

Magdalen was annoyed, “But you’ve slept with him so many times, does he really like you?”

Estelle looked at her quietly, hesitated for a moment, and then continued walking.

Magdalen caught up and grabbed her wrist, panting, “Estelle, I can tolerate women constantly coming

and circling around Morrison, because I know he loves me. But what about you? Why are you even

with Jonathan?”

Estelle’s clear eyes showed no emotion, her tone plain, “Didn’t you tell me to seize the day and enjoy

myself?”

Magdalen fell silent, “…”

She looked up, took a deep breath, calmed down after a while, and said, “Why don’t I find someone to

test him for you?”

Estelle raised an eyebrow, “What are you trying to do?”

“To see if he’s a playboy or not.”

Estelle immediately said, “Don’t you dare!”

“What are you afraid of? If he is a playboy, you should leave him sooner. What I mean by enjoying

yourself is under mutual feelings, not just being fooled by him alone!”

Estelle said seriously, “I’m not afraid, but we respect each other. He’s never tested me this way, so I

won’t do it to him!”

“Respect? Are you sure?” Magdalen sneered.

“I’m sure!” Estelle said firmly.

When Estelle returned to the Royal Mansion, it was already ten o’clock. She took a bath, read for a

while, and went to bed.

As she was half–asleep, she felt Jonathan kissing her face tenderly.

He had already taken a bath and was only wrapped in a towel, the strong masculine scent enveloping

her senses.

She hummed twice, slowly opening her eyes.

Jonathan leaned over her, his muscular arms strong and sexy. He pinched her chin and gently kissed

her cheek, his voice husky, “Want to have some fun?”

Estelle glanced at him sleepily, “I’m very tired.”

He chuckled softly, rising slightly to gaze at her in the darkness, “Were you hurt tonight?”

Estelle shook her head, “Even if they were targeting me, they wouldn’t hurt me.”

“Good, stay away from such things.” He leaned down and kissed her again.

Estelle’s voice was soft and casual, “I’m just glad you don’t blame me for not protecting Hattie.”

Her careless words made Jonathan pause, his eyes growing cold and distant.

She’d heard from someone about the relationship between Hattie and him, but didn’t question or make

a scene.

She knew her place and adhered to the rules, so he should have been pleased.

However, his chest seemed unexplainably stuffy instead.

He said nothing, only kissing Estelle more passionately now, without the earlier tenderness and care.

Like always, Jonathan took Estelle to the bathroom to shower afterwards.

He gently placed her on the bed and left.

Estelle was exhausted and sore all over, She found a comfortable position and closed her eyes, falling

asleep quickly, After Jonathan returned to his room, he had a video conference with the company

executives from M Country. It was already 3 a.m. when he closed the computer. He got up and walked

to the balcony, lit a cigarette and gazed at J City in the late night.

J City, a prosperous coastal city, was filled with all–night clubs. Many people hadn’t slept yet, still

partying and enjoying their youth. His youth, however, had been spent in a hail of bullets, trekking

through primitive jungles, and even going half a month without washing

Feeling sleepy around four o’clock, he went back to his room. Lying in bed, it seemed he had only slept

for a short while when he suddenly woke up. Checking the time, it was just five–thirty.

Perhaps recalling his past had triggered his dreams of that child. They’d done a mission together once,

and had saved each other’s lives.

They’d never seen each other’s faces, but he still remembered her eyes–like a bloodthirsty wolf, yet asnovelbin

calm as the night. She was the youngest among them, but her gun skills were the best.
