Chapter 123

Chapter 123

Magdalen smirked, “Of course! Even if we do have contact, it’s because people want to flatter our great

designer King!”

Estelle glanced at her, “Has it been a while since I last punched you?”

Magdalen quickly replied, “Spare me. I have bedtime exercise with Morrison every day. My thighs are

all bruised. If you don’t believe me, I’ll show you later!”

Estelle frowned in disgust, “Could you be a bit more reserved?”

“What does ‘reserved‘ mean?” Magdalen chuckled.

Estelle, “…”

The two entered the VIP room, where several women were already inside. As soon as they saw

Magdalen, they all came over.

Magdalen introduced Estelle to them, putting her arm around Estelle’s waist and smiling brightly, “This

is my dear sister. You guys help me take care of her, and I’ll owe you a favor!”

One of the women named Fannie joked, “Only Estelle is your dear sister? What are we, chopped

liver?”

Everyone laughed and escorted Magdalen and Estelle further inside.

These people were Magdalen’s good friends, and they took good care of Estelle. Seeing that she was

young, they kept bringing her food and drinks.

Magdalen whispered into her ear, “Just enjoy the food and drink. Once we’re full, we’ll leave.”

Estelle said, “But people might think I’m just here to freeload.”

Magdalen’s eyes sparkled, “Even if that’s true, who cares!”

Everyone sang, chatted, and played for a while. Another five or six people came in later. The room was

filled with lively greetings and catching up, as people settled down with their friends.

Estelle didn’t get up when these few people entered. As she looked up, she saw a familiar face.

People were singing in the room, and the colorful lights flashed, making everyone’s faces seem blurred

and dim.

Fannie brought Estelle some juice before sitting back down with Magdalen and chatting with the

others.

A woman in a slip dress asked Fannie, “Who’s the girl in the white dress? I don’t recognize her.”

Fannie glanced at her and spoke disdainfully, “She’s a minor celebrity.”

The slip dress woman looked surprised, “Then why are they all surrounding her?”

Fannie explained, “Her name is Hattie. She’s an artist from Firefly Media Group. It is said that she has

the support of the president of the Lamont Group behind her, which means tons of resources. She

recently landed a lead role in a movie and is currently standing in the spotlight. They’re trying to butter

her up, probably to establish some connections with the Lamont Group.”

The slip dress woman nodded, “Ah, that makes sense!”

Magdalen glanced over, a playful smile on her face, “Who are you guys talking about?”

Fannie pointed at Hattie, “The one in the white dress; she looks so fragile. Guys love that.”

Magdalen looked at Estelle subtly, her voice cold, “Is it true between her and Jonathan?”

“It’s common knowledge in their circle so it should be true,” answered Fannie.

Magdalen’s face darkened, and she stood up to approach Hattie. Estelle grabbed her wrist.

Estelle lowered her voice, “If you’re going over there to make trouble for her because of me, don’t

bother!” novelbin

Magdalen coldly asked, “You know her?”

“Yes.”

“So, is it true she’s with Jonathan?”

“I don’t know, so just be patient!” Estelle’s eyes were calm and collected.
