Chapter 1225

Chapter 1225

Estelle McClain got the assignment and had to go find Yulia.

Yulia was in the lounge, munching on fruit. Spotting Estelle, she immediately asked, “Did Mr. Tucker

send you?”

“You’re an actress, it’s your job to work with the director. And you’re not the only one getting soaked out

there, we’re all out in the rain together” Estelle glanced outside and said, “The rain’s let up, get a move

on!”

“I really hate the rain, wet clothes sticking to me; it’s uncomfortable Yulia complained.

Estelle didn’t say anything, she just gave her a look.

“Alright, alright, I’m going! Yulia got up, telling her assistant, “Get a few more outfits ready for me, I

want to change as soon as we wrap.”

“Don’t worry!” Her assistant said.

As Yulia headed outside, she gave Estelle a smile and said, “Don’t be mad; I’m going now!”

“Just do your best to work with the director, aim for a one-take wonder. It’ll save you some trouble, and

the director won’t give you a hard time.”Estelle advised.

“Sure thing!” Yulia winked at her, then followed her assistant to the set.

Carmella McClain was in the neighboring dressing room, chatting with Yvonne. They talked about

fashion, design, brands, etc…

Carmella kept praising Yvonne’s classy demeanor, saying even the most basic set of clothes looked

high-end on her.

Yvonne gave a sophisticated, gracious laugh, but her face didn’t betray any emotion.

Carmella wasn’t a fan of Yulia’s blunt honesty, it always left her feeling awkward. But after spending a

few days with Yvonne, she realized that forthright people had their perks, at least she knew what was

on their mind.

Yvonne, on the other hand, always had this calm and collected demeanor. Chatting was fine, but

whenever Carmella tried to get something out of her, she’d cleverly change the subject.

Yvonne really didn’t let anything slip!

While they were talking, Carmella’s phone rang. She checked it and got up, saying, “I have to take this

call, I’ll leave you be.”

“Do your thing!” Yvonne glanced at the caller ID on Carmella’s phone and gave a smile

Carmella nodded, stepped out of the room, and picked up. Tm on set.”

Finley Gould said, “Working in the rain? Your production team is heartless!”

“No choice, Ms. Winnie’s shooting in the rain!” Carmella laughed, saying, “1 should work even harder.”

Finley chuckled, “I like girls like your

Carmella gave a subtle smile and asked, “What’s up?”

“Let’s have dinner tonight; I’ve been swamped these days and sort of neglected you, I need to make it

up to you today!” Finley said softly

Carmella hesitated: “It’s raining today, how about another day?”

“Isn’t the rain more romantic? Let’s do it today, I’ll pick you up tonight.”

Carmella nodded reluctantly and said, “Alright.”

They wrapped early due to the rain, and Finley came to pick up Carmella ahead of time.

Finley had booked an outdoor restaurant. The place had a rustic and elegant patio, with a huge parasol

vaguely visible in the mist. The dim lights reflected in the water, exuding a serene and elegant

atmosphere.

Carmella set the flowers from Finley on the wooden table, giving a gentle smile, saying. “Mr. Gould, you

are full of surprises. It’s quite nice to go out in the

rain”novelbin

“Of course, if you’re willing to be with me, every day from now on will be filled with romance.” Finley

replied.

However, Carmella just smiled, pretending not to understand his words, and turned her gaze to the

busy traffic outside the window.

She wouldn’t easily agree to be with Finley. She knew these rich men like the back of her hand. When

they can’t get what they want, they show as much concern and care as they can. But once they got

what they wanted, they lost interest and pursued other girls.

From there, the initial fervor turned into a burden they’d rather get rid of

So, she could be Finley’s unattainable dream girl, but she would never become his annoying burden.
