Chater 1143

Chapter 1143

Yulia, being a bit of a slacker, decided to go straight to Mr. Tucker.

Mr. Tucker was analyzing the script when Yulia stormed in, causing him to frown, “What’s up?”

“Mister, why does Estelle get two days off? I want two days off too!” Yulia demanded.

Mr. Tucker asked, “Who told you that?”

“Carmella!” Yulia pointed at Carmella who was following her.

Carmella was about to give Yulia a signal when she pointed at her, making her eyes wide.

Is this girl dumb?

How did she survive in showbiz?

Mr. Tucker’s face darkened, turning to Carmella, “Carmella, our production is already slow, can you

stop causing me trouble?”

Carmella was so embarrassed she wished she could crawl into a hole as she stuttered an explanation,

“I was just curious, so I asked.”

Mr. Tucker sighed, looking at Yulia, “Yulia, here’s the thing. Estelle is not part of our crew. She’s a

designer sent by Snowy Studios. She’s still a Snowy Studios employee and of course she gets the

weekends off. Plus, every Friday, Estelle has all the clothes for the weekend’s scenes perfectly

arranged, with no oversights. As for you, as an actress, it was clearly stated in your contract that you

must cooperate with all reasonable arrangements of the crew. We don’t have holidays when we’re

shooting, and you should know that. As for your designer, she’s hired by you, so it’s up to you whether

she gets days off.”

Yulia complained, “We actors enjoy human rights too, we should get regular breaks.”

Mr. Tucker chuckled, “You want to tie your pay to that of an ordinary worker?”

Yulia was suddenly speechless.

Carmella took the chance to intervene, “Yulia, Mr. Tucker makes a lot of sense, let’s go back.”

Yulia gave her a glance, “You’re the one who asked me to come to Mr. Tucker, and now you’re asking

me to go back. You sure know how to flip-flop!”

Carmella didn’t dare to look at Mr. Tucker or argue with Yulia, she could only wear a pained expression.

On her way back, Carmella didn’t go with Yulia. She went to Estelle’s office to get the costume list from

Blythe.

On her way, she received a call from Finley Gould, who asked with concern, “Carmella, how’s it going

on set?”

Carmella closed her eyes for a moment before forcing a smile, “It’s fine.”

Finley immediately sensed her undertone, saying, “Is Yulia giving you a hard time? That girl is hot-novelbin

headed and doesn’t think before she speaks. I’ll call her out right now!”

Carmella quickly said, “No, don’t do that. If you call, Ms. Winnie will think I’ve been complaining about

her to you, and then I can’t keep this job.

“Carmella, why do you put up with this?” Finley said sympathetically.

“It’s okay!” Carmella feigned strength, “For the sake of work, it’s normal to put up with some

grievances. Few people has a smooth career for a whole life.”

Finley was increasingly moved, “Carmella, you come from a wealthy family too, but you’re nothing like

Yulia. She easily loses her temper. Without her family’s backing, she couldn’t survive in showbiz.”

Carmella smiled weakly, “Yulia is just a bit straightforward.”

Finley suggested, “Let’s have dinner together tonight, I’ll cheer you up.”

Carmella hesitated, then agreed, “Sure”

Tll pick you up tonight”

“Okay!”

Finley achieved his goal, comforting Carmella a bit more before hanging up

Carmella put away her phone, her smile fading. She felt a bit resentful. Yes, she was also a rich girl, so

why should she be subservient to anch girl like Finley?

But when she thought of Simone’s expression, she decided to endure.

When she got to Estelle’s office, Blythe hurried back from outside with her phone, her face full of

excitement, seemingly from talking to her boyfriend

As she turned on Estelle’s computer, she said. “The assistant director just called me. I print out the list

right now.”

She found the costume list and was about to respond when she heard someone calling her from

outside, “Blythe!”
