Freddy quickly scanned his teammates, excitedly showing off to Cindy, “This dude, Bradon, is from the
J City football team, never thought I’d find him here, and we are even in the same group, too.”
Cindy pulled out her phone, launching an app for Freddy to see, “People are placing bets already, odds
are one to ten, should we get in on this?”
Freddy instantly grabbed the phone, his eyes sparkling with excitement, “I’m on the same team as
Bradon. We’re gonna win for sure!”
“Let’s place a bet then!” Cindy suggested eagerly, “I’ve got fifty grand here, we can put all of it in!”
“What’s the point of this chump change?” Freddy’s eyes gleamed with greed as he checked his
account balance on his phone. He had three million bucks available.
He immediately called his company’s purchasing manager, instructing him to transfer the two million
dollars originally for purchasing raw materials to him for an urgent need.
The purchasing manager hesitated, wanting to consult Freddy’s father. Freddy immediately put on a
stern face, using a mix of carrot and stick, and managed to get the two million bucks transferred to him.
That made a total of five million bucks, if they won the game, he would get fifty million!
With that money, he wouldn’t have to suck up to his father for a while!
Cindy cautiously asked, “Isn’t it a bit risky to put all of our money in?”
Freddy, wrapping his arm around her, laughed, “It’s like doing business, when you see an opportunity,
you gotta seize it. If you hesitate, others will seize the money. If you wanna make big bucks, you need
to have that kind of decisiveness! Once we get the fifty million, I’ll buy you that sports car you’ve always
wanted.”
Cindy’s eyes lit up but she still maintained a modest demeanor, “I don’t need you to buy me a car, as
long as you’re happy, I’ll put my fifty grand in too!”
“No problem, you make half a million, and I make fifty million!” Freddy said excitedly.
Cindy hugged him tightly, “What about the five million prize money from the park!”
“Right!” Freddy got even more excited.
After placing their bets, the front desk called to inform them that the game would start in half an hour at
the park’s stadium. Freddy excitedly accepted the invitation.

After dinner, Jonathan received a call from Carson saying that the game was about to start and asked
him and Estelle to
come over.
Jonathan hung up, prepared sunglasses and a sun hat for Estelle, then took her to the stadium.
The tour car was already waiting outside the hotel for Jonathan and Estelle. After they got in, Jonathan
put the and hat on Estelle.
Estelle’s hair was soft and smooth. She wore a woven sun hat and a white chiffon dress, looking fresh
and soft.
Jonathan’s lips curled into a small smile, his eyes filled with affection.
It was almost noon, the sun was big, and the open-air stadium’s stands were already full. Carson had
reserved the best seats for Jonathan and Estelle. As soon as they arrived, they saw Charlie and Josiah
waving at them.
Estelle saw that everyone was already there, even Marina had come. They all sat in a row, and a waiternovelbin
wearing a baseball cap came over to serve drinks.
Jonathan put on a pair of sunglasses, looking even cooler and more handsome. He was sitting next to
Charlie and Josiah, attracting a lot of girls’ attention.
Estelle handed a bottle of water to Marina. Seeing her eyes a bit swollen and her face full of worries,
she couldn’t help asking, “Didn’t you sleep well last night?”
Marina took the water and then told them about what had happened in the restaurant that morning.
