Chapter 1068

Chapter 1068

Craig couldn’t help but laugh, “I’ll ask Estelle, but don’t hold your breath, mate. Estelle’s not one for the

limelight. Even when Mr. Mayfield offered her a killer role in his movie, she turned it down!”

“Really?” Mr. Tucker couldn’t believe there were still girls around who didn’t want fame or loads of cash.

“Really!” Craig was firm.

“Then I want to try it too. I won’t choose a role for now. Give you time to help me convince Estelle. If itnovelbin

doesn’t work, I’ll go find her myself.” Mr. Tucker said with an attitude that he must get it. “If she says no,

even the biggest star couldn’t change her mind!” Craig chuckled, “Alright, I’ll ask her for you!”

“please!”

With Mr. Tucker being so keen, Craig didn’t dilly-dally and asked Estelle out that very day, meeting at

the pizza joint across from her building.

Estelle liked spicy food. Craig ordered her favorite food, chatted while eating, and couldn’t avoid saying

a few words about Gwen at first.

Craig took a sip of red beer and mentioned that Gwen was still very angry, “It is said that the

entertainment industry is very chaotic, and good people will change when they enter the entertainment

industry, but Gwen has only been in the entertainment industry for a few years. In two years, she has

completely changed!” Estelle slowly enjoyed her grilled lobster, “People can change in so many ways,

it’s just not always apparent. When we finally realize it, it feels sudden.”

Craig thought back on something and frowned, “You’re right, she didn’t change overnight. There’s

something I never told you. I found out later that she was getting chummy with Yvonne during Mr.

Mayfield’s movie. She even hid a recorder in your yard.

Estelle seemed to recall something, her eyes reflecting her thoughts.

“Let’s drop it. It’s all water under the bridge now, and she’s got nothing to do with us,” Craig poured

Estelle a glass of red wine, “Cheers.”

Estelle had to take daily eye supplements, and Manley always warned her against drinking. But she

didn’t want to upset Craig, so she took a sip of wine.

“I wanted to catch up with you, but I’m also here on behalf of Mr., Tucker,” Craig grinned, “He wants

you to replace Gwen as the leading lady.”

Estelle’s eyes widened in surprise, “Are you drunk or is Mr. Tucker?”

Craig laughed, Neither of us is drunk, Mr. Tucker is dead serious. He’s got his heart set on you, and he

asked me to convince you. If I fail, he’ll come find you himself.” “Didn’t you tell him I can’t act?” Estelle

found it unbelievable.

“I did, but he said he can teach you.

Estelle was helpless.

-She took a sip of wine to calm herself down, then shook her head slowly, “That’s impossible. I never

wanted to be an actress.”

“I told Mr. Tucker the same thing, but he insisted I talk to you. I think you should think it over. Being a

star is not bad at all. You get fans, fame, and a bucket load of money,” Craig kept pouring her more

wine.

Estelle was still adamant, “No, I don’t want that.”

Craig laughed, “At least give it some thought, or it’ll be awkward for me.”

Estelle replied, “You know very well that no matter how long I think about it, I won’t change my mind.”

“Anyway, I’ve delivered Mr. Tucker’s message. He might call you in a few days. If you still don’t want to

act, you can turn him down then.”

“Okay.” Estelle nodded.

After dinner, Estelle said goodbye to Craig at the pizzeria and headed to a nearby dessert shop to buy

a cake intending to take it home and share it with Kya.

The film crew needed to recast, putting the shooting on hold. So, for a few days, Estelle had some

down time to spend with Kya.

Sure enough, Mr. Tucker called her the next day, inviting her to play the lead role.

Without hesitation, Estelle declined. But Mr. Tucker didn’t give up. He joked, “Estelle, you’re the reason

I don’t have a leading lady. You owe me one!”
