Chapter 157: Why It's Hot Here

"I'm just here to buy you a meal. Why are you caring so much?" Cathy glanced at him.

They went upstairs and got into a big luxury dining room.

A table for forty people. Mr. Black invited Cathy sitting next to him.

Aaron saw that and tried to sit next to Cathy but he was pushed away by Cathy calmly. Cathy sat on the seat with smile and looked at him pacifying.

After all the people were sat down, the dishes were served. Waiters brought several plates of red hairy crabs.

Mr. Black was pleased and inviting guests to eat," Feel free to eat. There are a lot of other dishes later."

Then he took a crab forwardly for Cathy," Miss Lawson, please have a try. These are the most fresh hairy crabs sent by the hotel today."

Crab was cold in property and a pregnant woman could not eat them. Cathy took a look at it and smiled politely," Thank you very much! I could help myself with that."

After she said that, she took up the tools and used them to strip off the shell of the crab slowly and carefully. She was mean to waste the time. When the crabs were served to every guest in the room, she pushed a plate of crab meat she prepared to Mr. Black. She said blandly," Mr. Black, this is for you. Please enjoy."

Mr. Black stunned for a second. His baldest head was reflecting light and he had an expression of feeling extremely flattered and said," For me?"

Aaron glanced at them but did not say anything.

Mr. Black was eating happily and he did not notice that Cathy did not have any of it.

But she could escape a moment, but she couldn't run away forever at all. Cathy had her expression changed since she saw the dishes served after.

They were all forbidden to a pregnant woman. She was quite careful about that. She would not even touch them at all when she was at home. However, the kinds of those she could not eat were complete on the table now.

But Aaron did not know that and he took some with his chopsticks thoughtfully to Cathy," Miss. Lawson, please."

Mr. Black just received the kindness from Cathy and it was his chance to show himself. He served a heap of dishes to Cathy with one breath," Miss. Lawson, you are too thin. Eat more."

Cathy's expression was rigid imperceptibly for a second and she smiled with out emotion," Mr. Black, I could help myself. Please enjoy the dishes yourself."

She frowned and squinted slightly when she turned her head back.

These dishes...Such a coincidence.

Cathy pretending to eat a little genteelly. A waiter pushed a cart and walked in when Cathy had not got a clue.

"Mr. Black, the wine is ready to drink. Would you like to have it now?"

"OK."

The waiter nodded and served the wine for each one of the guests.

Cathy glanced that the cold wine was still vaporizing. She twinkled her eyes suddenly and she frowned harder.

A cold wine?

Aaron noticed that, too. He turned his head and his sight contacted with Cathy's.

Mr. Black took his glass and raised up, he said," Today is the first formal dinner-party since the cooperation of LT Company and Vanten Technology Company. I wish we could work hard together in the future and there will be more chance to communicate like this. Let's have a toast!"

People all stood up and raised their cups with smile on their face," Cheers!"

Cathy lifted her cup with the same expression. She was stopped by Aaron when she was just going to have a toast. The resonant voice of the boy interrupted the guests.

"Miss. Lawson, you are not capable to drink, aren't you?"

People stunned and looked at her together.

Cathy stunned, too. She looked at Aaron blankly.

Aaron took away the cup in Cathy's hand by the way and said surprisingly," You are being too unwary. The injury on your head is not recovered yet and aren't you having the pills recently? How could you drink the wine?"

Cathy's underling in her department also remembered since the notice and made a scoff kindly," Miss Lawson, are you dazed by the food?"

Mr. Black did not understand what was going on and frowned," Injury? Miss. Lawson, what happened to you?"

Cathy smiled embarrassingly. She raised the hair on her forehead and explained," I fell and hurt myself. It's fine now."

Even though the scar was not vanished yet, she had not took the pills these days already. However, she was convinced that Aaron was really smart.

Mr. Black worried instantly," We are here to have fun tonight but not hurting our health. Mr. Brown will blame me if you have anything wrong since you drink after the pills."

"How could I let everybody down? How about I drink juice instead of wine." Cathy smiled apologetically.

Mr. Black waved his hand to a waiter," Bring her a cup of water, warm."

Cathy was embarrassed and said," Mr. Black, you don't have to bother."

The waiter had already ran out. He was back soon with a cup of water in his hand.

Cathy pretended to be thankful and looked at Mr. Black. She lifted her cup," Thanks a lot, Mr. Black. Cheers for all of you."

The atmosphere was alive again.

Cathy was asked to have toasts and drank water one cup after another. She wanted to go to the bathroom. She raised up and told Mr. Black lightly," Excuse me please."

"That's fine."

Mr. Black had a look at her and continued to have the meal.

Cathy got out from the room and she finally could have some fresh air. Maybe it was because not comfortable in the room or she spoke too much, she felt a burning hot on her face and she could not breathe smoothly.

"Miss. Lawson!"

Cathy stunned when she heard someone was calling her. She turned her head and saw it was Aaron catching up," Why you are out here?"

"I'm worrying about you." Aaron showed his white eyes then curled his lip complacently," I'm the only one who knows that you are pregnant. Do you know how scared I am tonight? Thanks to my cleverness just now."

Cathy looked at him and there was a warm smile raised on her face," Thanks a lot, Mr. Lee. I will ask you to be my baby's god father for sure."

Aaron lifted his lips and snorted," That's fair."

"All right. You just go back. I'm going to the bathroom."

Aaron lifted his eyebrows and looked around then he joked," This is such a big hotel. Can you find the way to the bathroom?"

Cathy's face grew gloomy. She clenched her teeth and rebutted," I'm terrible with directions but I'm not stupid. I know how to ask someone if I can't find the way!"

She felt her body was getting hotter as she was talking. She could not help to pulled her collar.

Aaron saw that there was an unusual red on her face. His dark eyes grew deeper then he smiled desultorily," Let me lead you the way anyway."

Cathy did not keep courteous with him and slapped on his shoulder hard," Hurry up then."

Aaron was leading the way in the front.

Cathy frowned and looked around as she was walking. She was so agitated and hot that she swallowed. Her head was dizzy since the heat. She asked with doubt," Aaron, do you notice that the temperature of AC is set too high in this hotel. It's hot here."

Aaron walked in the front. He did not turn his head and smiled relaxingly. There was a continuing thick coldness in his smile," Are you becoming silly since you are drunk? It's not winter now. The temperature is set normal in the hotel."

"No!"

The voice behind Aaron was suddenly became serious. That made the sarcasm in his eyes stronger but it vanished in a second. He turned his head back looked at her strangely," What's wrong?" Cathy reached out her hand to support on the wall. She pressed between her eyebrows where she felt dizzy. There was a cold expression on her red face," I did not drink alcohols."
