Chapter 975

Tyler chimed in from the side.

"Yeah, she is clever, I'll give her that. She cleared out right after calling us, just in time before Dennis

and Pearson could lay their hands on her. And she even had the wits to settle everything in the

company before she left. No wonder she's the CEO."

The sarcasm in their voices was palpable, indirectly ridiculing Ian's choice of women.

Phelps, the one who knew the truth, happened to be away that night, so there was no one to defend

Maja.

In the past, Ian would have surely retaliated against their comments.

But now, he remained silent, just quietly holding his glass of whiskey.

It felt as if all the bitterness in the world was churning in his stomach. He took a sip of his drink, hoping

to drown the bitterness, but it only tasted more bitter, bringing along a sense of melancholy.

He understood now. With Maja, if she didn't like him, she just didn't, regardless of what he did.

So what if they had been intimate before?

He swirled the whiskey in his glass, and after several sips, Beck walked in.

"Ian, come outside with me."

Ian frowned, lifting his somewhat tipsy eyes, "Buzz off."

Damn it!

Beck was furious and grabbed him by the arm.

"My sister is in Greenfield. You better treat her well, and her heart's not the best."

Ian was just annoyed and tried to shake him off, but then he heard Beck say, “Aren't you done with

Maja? What's the harm in meeting my sister?”

"I don't care if I'm done with her. I'm just not interested in your sister."

Beck's face darkened, ready to explode, but a voice from behind stopped him.

"Beck, Ian's probably not feeling well right now. Can't you just let him be for a moment? You're so

rude."

Everyone in the room turned to look at the door, where stood the princess of the Sanders family.

She was elegantly dressed, looking like a beautiful doll. However, her complexion was rather pale,

suggesting frequent illnesses.

Beck quickly let go of Ian, his brow furrowing.

"You should not be in a place like this."

Judith Sanders smiled faintly, walking in slowly.

"But he's here. I want to see him."

After that, she turned to greet the others in the room, “Hello, everyone, I'm Judith, Beck's sister.”novelbin

Her voice was clear and innocent, completely devoid of any hidden agendas.

She walked over to the other side of Ian, gently patting his back.

"Ian, how are you feeling?"

Tyler couldn't resist making a comment.

“The princess of the Sanders family sure is bold, calling him by his first name as soon as you arrive. It

could give people the wrong idea, Ian isn't married to you."

“What does it matter? I'm chasing him, I don't mind being the butt of a few jokes. I like him, and that's

why I flew all the way from North America when I heard about his situation. I had even arranged

everything with the people here but didn’t expect that Ian would handle it himself. He's really amazing."

Her gaze towards Ian was glittering, openly expressing her fondness and admiration for him.

As the princess of the Sanders family, she had always been pampered since childhood. But when it

came to pursuing a man, she had no qualms about being unreserved unless her feelings were

extremely strong.

And her background was quite a match with Ian's.

Tyler squinted, momentarily at a loss for words.

Compared to Maja, who ran away when Ian was in trouble, the princess of the Sanders family had

personally flown in from North America. And considering her weak heart, she must really like him.

His lips curved into a smirk. "No wonder they say birds of a feather flock together."

His words were another jab at Maja.

Because Maja was from a humble background, that's why she ran away so easily.

Everyone in the room caught the drift except for Beck, who wanted to rebut.

But his little sister was right there. If he countered, she would surely get upset.

And once she complained to their elder brother, he would definitely get an earful.

With her hand on Ian's back, Judith smiled.

"I know you're talking about Maja. She sold Ian out with just three Hollywood quotas. I really dislike her.

If Ian likes her, I'll wait. I'll wait until he's willing to accept me."

Beck quickly scolded her. "Watch your words."

Judith stuck out her tongue, looking innocent.

"That's what I've been thinking. I'm chasing him, and I don't mind. Beck, I came here prepared to be

rejected hundreds of times."

Beck rubbed his forehead, feeling that his sister was too unreserved.

But to everyone else, her words seemed sincere.
