Chapter 972

Ian sat nonchalantly at the head of the table, his fingers tapping lightly against the surface.

A minute later, he finally spoke.

"Dennis," he began, "you've mortgaged all your properties and liquidated all your assets to buy a 20%

share from Mr. Haley. You've even borrowed from the bank. Now, how do you plan to pay it back?"novelbin

His eyes were filled with amusement as he glanced at the other members of the Raymond family.

The crowd that had been so boisterous just moments ago were now, one by one, shrinking back,

avoiding his gaze.

Despite his seemingly casual look, to them, it felt as if he was brandishing a razor-sharp blade, the

chilling coldness almost freezing them solid.

The room was filled with tense expressions. They all glanced uneasily at each other, none daring to

refute Ian's words.

"No way! Absolutely no way! Ian, you must have played dirty!"

Dennis, who had been meticulously planning for years, was on the verge of success when he was

suddenly plunged into a hellish abyss. He simply could not accept it.

Ian, however, had no intention of indulging him, or anyone else for that matter.

"Dennis, the only thing you have left now is the 20% share you just bought. Now, you have two choices

- sell these shares to me at half the market price, which will allow you to pay off your debt to the bank,

or I'll crash the stock value of the Raymond Corporation, making your shares worthless. Either way, it's

just a game to me."

The second option was insane, but everyone in the room believed Ian would dare to do it.

Although it seemed like he was giving Dennis options, in reality, he was driving him into a corner.

Dennis had obtained his 20% share by mortgaging his own 30% share and paying twice the market

price. Now, Ian wanted him to sell it for half the market price. The sheer loss would be in the billions.

He was left penniless, without any properties to his name.

"Ugh!" Dennis vomited blood on the spot and nearly fainted.

Upon seeing the bloodstain on the floor, Ian's brow furrowed. Mr. Haley immediately spoke up.

"Mr. Raymond is a clean freak, and you should've found somewhere else to vomit blood."

His words were the final blow, causing Dennis to faint on the spot.

Pearson hurriedly helped him up, but he didn't dare to look at Ian.

He feared that if he angered Ian, Ian would take the second route, making their shares worthless.

That would leave them in a huge debt, unable to even pay off the interest. Their only option left would

be to commit suicide, wiping their debts clean with their deaths.

Pearson's hands were shaking. He had always been jealous of Ian, jealous of his casual demeanor,

and jealous of how Ian, who was once nothing more than Eric's shadow, could have such formidable

strength.

He was filled with resentment, the taste of blood lingering in his mouth.

He helped a defeated Dennis up and limped away.

The other members of the Raymond family didn't dare to leave, especially Maureen.

She had already signed an agreement with Dennis. Now that Dennis had fallen, she had no shares in

the Raymond family, and they didn't owe her a cent.

And just before Ian entered the room, she was even trying to show her loyalty to Dennis.

She clenched her fists but couldn't bring herself to say anything. Her lips trembled.

The other members of the Raymond family were just as shocked, sitting there in stunned silence.

The turn of events had been too sudden, too shocking.

In the midst of the silence, Ian pointed at one of the executives.

This executive had been on his side. Since Ian had entered the room, he had been beaming.

"Repeat what they just did in the room."

The executive was more than ready. He had been tormented by those who had sided with Dennis

these past few days, and now, he finally had a chance to retaliate. He wouldn't let this opportunity slip

away.

"Sir, I'm afraid I alone can't reenact all their performances. Because before you came in, everyone was

putting on quite a show."

With those words, the fate of everyone in the Raymond family was sealed.
