Chapter 932

Chapter 932

Holden had made it clear when he decided to set lan as the heir of the Raymond family that the 15%

shares he held would not be given to anyone during his lifetime. So, everyone in the Raymond family

understood that the shares in Holden's hands were an unknown variable.

Now that Holden had given the shares to lan, there would be hell to pay if the others found out.

Although lan didn't really care about these shares. After all, the whole thing with the EcoTraverse

Group was a setup for Dennis, and he had already told Halden about it, so he didn't need to worry.

So the fact that Holden was handing over the shares at this critical moment meant something was up.

He immediately called Holden, who answered quickly, sounding quite chipper.

"Grandpa, why the sudden decision to give me the shares?"

He had always been a realist, never having high hopes for these shares.

Holden, sipping coffee in the garden and playing chess with his butler, seemed quite pleased.

"| just felt like it. | wouldn't have agreed if there wasn't something in it for me.

Quit asking so many questions and focus on winning your lady back."

lan was glad he hadn't put the call on speaker, or it would have been really awkward if Maja had heard.

He pretended to cough a couple of times. "Gotcha, | see. Take care of yourself; I'll come see you in a

few days."

With that, he hung up.

Holden looked at his phone, frowning. Did he understand anything?

He didn't understand a thing.

lan continued to eat the food Maja was feeding him.

Half an hour later, he turned his head and said, “I'm done eating."

Only then did Maja take the tray away and sat down to eat in the living room downstairs.

lan thought she would come back soon. After waiting for ten minutes and not seeing her, he asked Jeff,

who was nearby.

"Did she leave?"

Jeff shook his head. "Ms. Pennyfeather hasn't had dinner yet. She's eating downstairs. Do you want

her to stay?"

"Do you really need to ask?"

Of course, he wanted to see her all the time.

Jeff nodded, it seemed like he was going to have to put in some elbow grease again.

After dinner, it was already past ten. Maja stood up, picked up her bag, and was ready to leave.

At this point, Jeff came downstairs and asked, "Ms. Pennyfeather, are you leaving now?"

Maja nodded. “It's late, and there is a lot of work to be done at the company."

"But the boss might get a fever again tonight. He's like a petulant child when he's sick, refusing to take

his medicine. You know how he is. He was feverish all night yesterday and didn't say a word. If | hadn't

gone in this morning, he might have fried his brain"

Maja stopped in her tracks, frowning. lan's mood swings were indeed unpredictable.

"The doctor also said that his wound is inflamed because it got wet. He might even take a bath later."

If he bathed again, the wound would get wet again. If he got a fever again, not even God could save

him.

There's no way Maja could leave now.novelbin

"Please prepare a guest room for me."

"I'll arrange a small bed for you in the boss's bedroom so that you can take care of him conveniently.

His wound might itch at night."

During the healing process, wounds did itch.

Maja shook her head. Her character was such that she would rather suffer herself than cause trouble

for others.

Jeff's attitude seemed very sincere, he really was considering lan's wellbeing.

Therefore, Maja had no choice but to stay.

And when she entered lan's room again, he was indeed getting ready to take a bath.

Maja couldn't understand lan’s extreme obsession with cleanliness. He didn't like to sweat and always

wanted to stay fresh, just like a little girl.

So, she had to help him wash up with a towel and couldn't help but ask"

"If you're so obsessed with being clean, how did you survive in the army before?"

lan raised an eyebrow and spread his arms to let her wash.

"There was no condition to bathe at that time."

Maja couldn't help but laugh, a smile playing at the corners of her mouth.

At eleven o'clock in the evening, after she had helped him wash up, she took a bath herself.

When she came out in her pajamas, the main light in the room was off, only the bedside lamp was still

on.

There was a small bed next to the bed. Although it was called a small bed, it was as tall as lan's large

bed, just narrower. What's the difference between this and sharing a bed?

She frowned, planning to go out and find Jeff, but then lan spoke.

"Jeff doesn't live here. There are many other villas in Greenfield Gardens, they all live there. If you don't

want to sleep in the same room with me, I can sleep on the couch."

With that, he started to get up.

There's no way Maja would let a sick person like him sleep on the couch.

Plus, there's no couch in this room!

They had slept together many times before, fussing about it now seemed a little superfluous.

She lay in bed, closed her eyes, and said, "Good night."

Only then did lan lie back in bed.

The bedside lamp was still on, and Maja was indeed a little tired after taking care of him today.

Then she heard him say, "If you can't sleep, tell me a story."

She rolled over, her back to him.

"lan, you're twenty-four, not four."
